Books holding material of relevance, twisted with adventure and
inspiration. Working on The Three Musketeers and some Nietzsche
currently.
About the same criteria for movies and shows, but more pointless
action and comedy is OK. Anything by Christopher Nolan, any movie
that you force yourself to breathe at the end of, only to realize
that you had stopped halfway through. Inception, Batman, The
Prestige, The Princess Bride, The Shawshank Redemption, Juno, Pulp
Fiction, The Big Lebowski, Star Wars (original trilogy [Han shot
first!]), Lord of the Rings, Casablanca, The Matrix, Gladiator, Up;
to name a few. As far as TV: Breaking Bad, House, NOVA,
MythBusters, Top Gear, Better Off Ted, Battlestar Galactica,
Futurama, Star Trek (Captain Kirk was WAY better), The Big Bang
Theory, etc.
Country music is an oxymoron. You may disagree, that's OK.
Otherwise, anything. Literally everything. Some people say
"everything" then rage when music they dislike comes on. I will at
least listen to just about anything. Ratatat when I'm studying,
Linkin Park when I'm angry, Flux Pavilion/Rusko to start the day
feeling awesome, Bon Iver to a glass of wine,
trance/progressive/70s-90s to entertain friends, Snow Patrol to
relax, the list goes on... Recently I've discovered OceanLab and
Phaeleh, and Seven Lions, and OmegaDubstep, and and and... :D
And >Album Title Goes Here< is freaking amazing!
As is Random Access Memories!
Food...hmmm. Anything from another country, a burger that half
drips down my arms with fries, a good salad with ranch and
parmesan, thick-cut bacon and steaks so fresh they were oinking and
mooing in the past month, potatoes in any form, $2 frozen chicken
nuggets, oriental ramen, pork or chicken fried rice (good at this,
if I do say so myself), a really good roast with carrots and
onions, fruit in season, a toasted sandwich with quality meat and
cheese, a slow-smoked rack of ribs, chicken with onions and
zucchini, etc.
