Books: recent favorites include: The Savage Detectives and 2666 by Roberto Bolano, The Great Perhaps, Super Sad True Love Story, Oscar Wao, The Corrections, A visit from the Goon Squad and Let the Great World Spin.

Movies: Hannah and Her Sisters, Talk to Her, One Crazy Summer. The scene where Bobcat Goldwaith crushes a model town while wearing a Godzilla costume is maybe the funniest thing I've ever seen.

Shows: Mad Men. Slings & Arrows. Downton Abbey.

Music: Wilco, Spoon, the National, the Strokes, Radiohead, the Smiths, the Beach Boys, Bob Dylan...general indie rock.
