I guess I would call myself fairly easy going with a good sense of humour, kind, compassionate, artistic but not talented, a little weird, a little normal, sometimes boring, sometimes very interesting. I talk too much but I like to listen. I believe in love but I wonder if it's out there for me. I don't subscribe to the "there's an old sock for every old shoe" idea. I've known too many perfectly good socks go without ever being shod.

I'm unemployed at the moment but kept busy with three almost grown children; 2 in college and one in secondary education. I also do some voluntary work in the area of mental health, which I enjoy. I facilitate workshops in secondary schools in order to introduce the concept of taking care of their own mental health to the pupils.

My laugh....it's very loud....and I laugh a lot, usually.

I have a lot of favourite books as I like to read. Anything from Tolstoy to David Baldacci. Am a bit of a fan of John Connolly. No chick lit. I love spiritual books; Eckhart Tolle, Pema Chodron.
Most recent film I saw was Django which I liked in spite of the violence. I love science fiction too and foreign films...good ones anyway.
I like tv but I just can't take reality tv. I watch science fiction, Star Trek, Star Gate and Doctor Who. I love comedies too. I'm going through a bit of a CSI phase at the moment.
Music....well, I'm a big disappointment where music is concerned. I like to listen to it but I'm totally non-discriminatory (is that a word?)and I rarely buy music for my own pleasure. What I listen to depends on my mood but I like blues and singers like Adele and Damien Rice. If the music is live I am almost guaranteed to love it.
I love Italian food but will try any kind as long as it's not too spicy.
