My self-summary
So how can I get across that I'm a confident, but sensitive soul who loves walks on the beach, moonlight, and...

Ah, screw it.

I am a huge nerd who loves to talk about philosophy, video games, books, and movies. I am completely comfortable with who I am, and I have finally figured out what I want in life.

And just who am I? Well, I'm a goofy, insightful, and caring person who really likes to sleep in. I can be patient with people who try, but the lazy or willfully ignorant tire me out.
What I’m doing with my life
Getting it sorted out. To start with, going back to college so I can get a teaching degree in English.

Also, working on that whole world peace thing.
I’m really good at
Bicycling, reading, talking, listening, gaming, putting foot in mouth, empathy, and grasping things fairly quickly.

Also, here are some things I'm NOT good at:
sports, waiting, sleeping
The first things people usually notice about me
I wear glasses. Also, I have scoliosis, so my spine curves out a bit.

Personality wise, it's probably my sardonic sense of humor.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: The Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien, A Song of Fire and Ice saga by George R.R. Martin, Discworld series by Terry Pratchett, The Wheel of Time by Robert Jordon, Neil Gaiman's books (Stardust, American Gods, and Neverwhere), The Harry Potter books by J.K. Rowling, The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky, If Chins Could Kill: Confessions of a B-Movie Actor autobiography by Bruce Campell, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams, both The Zombie Survival Guide and World War Z by Max Brooks, Watchmen by Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons, A Confederacy of Dunces by John Kennedy Toole, and many others.

Movies: The Lord of the Rings (Extended Editions), Shawshank Redemption, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Shock Treatment, Harold and Maude, The Evil Dead trilogy, Bubba-Ho Tep, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Lost in Translation, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, The Incredibles, Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, UHF, Yellow Submarine, and M*A*S*H.

TV: Avatar: The Last Airbender (huge fan), Mystery Science Theater 3000, Scrubs, M*A*S*H, South Park, The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, The Colbert Report, Buffy The Vampire Slayer, The Tick animated series, and The Muppet Show.

Music: "Weird" Al Yankovich, The Cranberries, Temptations, Poison, Arlo Guthrie, Heart, Aerosmith, the Beatles, Daft Punk, The Gorillaz, Pink Floyd, The Avenue Q stage musical, Queen, Journey, and more. I like most music types except for rap and country. (Exceptions apply: Johhny Cash rocks.)

Foods: Italian, Chinese, or Southwestern/Mexican. Ben and Jerry's Half-Baked or Americone Dream are both tasty. Actually, I like most foods and aren't particualy picky. (But I can't believe I'll ever be behind the idea of putting peanuts into a salad.)

NOTE: I'm not actually a pop-culture zombie. I just play one on TV.
The six things I could never do without
1. Air Conditioning (my body temp always seems to be slightly higher than everyone's around me) 2. A bicycle (gets me exercise and is much cheaper than a car) 3. My sense of humor 4. My glasses 5. Freedom of speech 6. The love of a woman
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Life, the Universe, and Everything. And my own place in it.

Also, zombies and pigs (an animal that gets a bad rap).
On a typical Friday night I am
Working at my job. My "weekend' is Tues, Wed, Thur.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm an incredibly self-concious fretter.
