My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
My name is Sean, and I live in the mid-eastern suburbs of Melbourne

I love meeting new people, finding out about what drives them, and their interests. Even if I don't have anything in common with someone, I feel as if these are the people that can introduce me to something completely different, which is never a bad thing.
That said, there is nothing like a good conversation about which season of Survivor is the best, with both (or more) of us speaking over each other.

My greatest guilty pleasure is sitting outside on a verandah while it is raining/storming, having a beer/coffee and just listening to the rain and thunder.

I love animals, did you guess? I'm fascinated by all of them, from small little stick insects to big male giraffes weighing a ton and a half. It's why I want to work in a zoo, and share my enthusiasm with everyone that comes and visits. If we ever meet up, be warned that I can probably talk your ear off about them.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
At the moment, I'm working as hard as I can to achieve my dream job, working in a zoo. I'm currently volunteering and doing teaching gigs (mainly primary school) at a privately owned animal sanctuary in Victoria, building my experience as much as possible.
Also finally finished my Cert II in Captive Animals, so now I'm just applying for every job I see.
As you can imagine, my weeks are pretty full and hectic, but my time at the animal sanctuary spurs me on, even if the shifts I do down there are usually on my days off. And as such, any chance I can get to relax, I take with both of my exhausted hands.

I've also been working through all the hoops to get my Irish citizenship. Once I get this, it means I'll be able to go over to Europe and be able to work in most Western European nations fairly easily. I've got a romantic idea of being the Australian keeper of Australian animals in a foreign zoo!

I'd like to think I'm an active person, recently joined the gym, but I also do enjoy just spending the day lounging around watching TV and reading books.
I joined a work netball team at the start of last year, but in the three/four months that the season ran for, I fractured my wrist (and was out of work for eight weeks), and tore a ligament in my foot (missed another two weeks). It was awesome fun, but I decided to retire my short career for at least a year as I can't afford more time of work. Haha.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I'm great at talking about animals and zoos and anything else related. I fly from one random point to another, so be prepared for completely unrelated facts, that I somehow connect in my head. I'm working on it though, particularly since I've started doing the presentations at the animal sanctuary.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My stunning red hair!
If I'm at work, it's also my enthusiasm to talk about whatever animal I'm working with at the time. I just start talking about them even if no-one has asked me any questions.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I tend to be all over the shop with my favourite things.

Books
Books range from The Tomorrow Series (which I've read at least once a year since 2000), Earth's Children series and A Song of Ice and Fire, to reference books on human pre-history and animals and etc :p. Also, can't forget good ol' Harry Potter, and The Hunger Games, which I freaking love both.

Movies
Movies are a bit hard. Nothing really tends to stand out, even though I see a few of them every year. I'm going to update this whenever I've seen a new movie. That said, I saw 50-50 recently, and absolutely loved it. Seth Rogan's best movie, and has Anna Kendrick in it. Aww yeah!

Recently saw Short Term 12 as well and really liked it. Very low key and Brie Larson was robbed of at least a couple nominations.

TV
Shows are easy, but long. I love my television. Can't get enough of shows like Community, Parks and Recreation, Survivor, Amazing Race, Game of Thrones, Breaking Bad, How Met Your Mother, Happy Endings, the list could go on.

Recently smashed out all nine seasons of the US version of The Office. Absolutely loved it. So much so that I'm thinking of starting again.

Music
Music is the hardest. Can I just say I listen to triple j and be done with it? I'm so eclectic with my taste it's incredible.
Some of my favourites include, The Killers, Temper Trap, Noah and the Whale, The Living End, Muse. There is so much more though.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Coffee - It's become an addiction. If I don't have my morning coffee, I tend to suffer from headaches later in the day. That can't be good right?

My job at the Sanctuary - As weird as this sounds, my weeks don't feel complete when I haven't gone down there at least once during the week (due to sickness, commitments at other job, other circumstances). Animals are my number one passion, and I don't consider been down there as work as I enjoy it so much.

My new car - Had my new car for about 18 months now, so not really new anymore. Love it though and will drive anywhere for anyone.

The outdoors - Doing anything outside is immeasurably better than inside.

Sport - In particular AFL and the Bulldogs.

Books - Nothing like going for a long hike to the middle of nowhere, finding a quiet place and sitting down to read for a couple hours. So good.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
What I'd do if I just dropped everything and moved to Iceland. Or, when I eventually get my Irish passport, Europe. I've never done backpacking before, but it does sound awesome.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Basically what everyone else does. Some nights I'll be out at a pub, others I'll be at home watching some TV or reading a book. I'd like to think I'd be open to doing anything. I've always loved the idea of dropping everything and going on a late-night drive down to the beach.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Two things...
I'm a closet dancer. If you somehow get the security videos of when I'm at work, you'll see me dancing up and down the aisles to the store music. Shamefully, the songs include greats from Taylor Swift, ABBA, Lady Gaga and an assorted bunch of other artists. I am very good though.

Second, I can't tie shoes doing the one loop method. I've tried but can't do it. I'm a bunny ears man.
