What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Trying to improve myself and my surroundings on a daily basis. Finding ways to see things from multiple perspectives, refining my views on politics and redefining priorities in my life. Been busy enough doing this on my own that I occasionally forget how much fun and more enriching it is to share some or all of it with a like-minded character. I always welcome a partner in crime (or pardner, if they come from the west...).
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
finding stuff. which may explain why library school appealed to me.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
The prominent hairline. Grass don't grow on a busy street...

Let's see...
Books: loved the Millenium series. The Jasons. World War Z. Time Traveller's Wife. The Last Word. Currently: What to Drink with What you Eat. Will Ferguson's 419 was such a sad but all to real story. Terry Fallis' political stories were good reads. Next: whatever I find at the library.

Lawrence of Arabia. Airplane. Godfathers I & II. Chinatown. Pretty much anything by Bill Forsythe or the Coen bros. Documentaries. Loads more. An admitted weakness for shlock. Sometimes campy fills a void (with another void).

I'll add a few TV preferences in this box: loved Battlestar Galactica; dry, witty comedy, and old school Python and SCTV. Great drama these days: Breaking Bad, House of Cards, Homeland. It's the decade of the anti-hero.

Food: geez...where to start. A recent holiday solidified my views on French and Italian cooking. I try to emulate with some measure of success. View dim sum as the candy store of weekends. Oh, and the pig IS the magic animal.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
coffee to start my day
a book on the go
the chance to periodically say "that's what she said"
sparkling wine...mostly Cava these days
annual trips to favourite cities
and up to about a month ago, Angry Birds
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
hanging with friends on a patio or in someone's kitchen - sometimes my own - with an adult beverage and some happy tunes in the background.
