I'm inquisitive, adventurous, down to earth and have a calm
disposition. Easy going, curious, enjoy adventures and try to make
the best of all situations, come rain or shine (literally and
figuratively). I truly love the Great Outdoors and am humbled by
their beauty. I am a passionate traveler. Cultures and history
fascinate me and I try to make the most of both when abroad as it
makes for a rounded experience (food, drink, the arts). I cook but
am no Escoffier, that's for sure! I don't have a dog, though I
dearly love them; if I had one, I'd treat it as a family member.
I'm big on hiking and walking in general and like to include it in
my globetrotting. Sport-wise, I'm a windsurfing enthusiast and only
wish I could indulge in it year round!
What I’m doing with my life
"Carpe diem" baby, but the diems fly so fast when you love what you
do! Enjoying a fantastic career paired with a lifestyle that suits
I’m really good at
I enjoy tinkering, refinishing furniture, working with my hands.
The first things people usually notice about me
Apparently my smile and I'm easy on the eyes.

Non-Fiction: The Economist, Photo Life, Norman Davies, Bill Bryson,
Dawkins, Arthur C. Clark, Robert Young Pelton
Fiction: Graham Green, Evelyn Waugh, Antoine de Saint-Exupéry,
Steinbeck, Dostoyevsky, Alphonse Daudet, Hugo Pratt, Belgian BD's,
Hamlet, In the Shadow of the Wind, Arthur C. Clark
Movies: The Big Lebowski (you have no idea!), The Straight Story,
Heaven's Gate, Blazing Saddles, Spaceballs, Coen bros, Kurosawa,
Kieslowski & more!
TV:? Nah, I kicked that habit (...and replaced it with online
viewing of course!) TVO & PBS were great but sitcoms and
"reality" crap suck the spirit out of you. Reality should be lived
not watched... (doh!)
Music: Anything. Classic Rock, Heavy Metal, Industrial, Darkwave,
Techno, Electronica, Blues, Bluegrass, Classical,
Traditional....bring it on! (Turmion Kätilöt anyone?)
Food: Everything. I take pleasure in all sorts of culinary
adventures, from the safe, tried and scrumptious to the unknown,
bizarre and challenging; if I haven't tried it I'm curious about
it. Rest assured, I appreciate the finer dishes as well, and can
cook up a few myself!
The six things I could never do without
Travel; environmental, visual, cultural novelties!
