I, bite, and I bite hard
My self-summary Propose an edit
Until recently, I was a college student from MI, living in IN, and
studying English Literature in order to become a librarian. I have
now left school with a few classes to go because I got sick, but I
plan on going back to finish my degree as soon as I can afford it
and the timing works out.
My passions include reading, writing, spending time with my friends,
cooking, traveling and hiking.
I'm not sure what else to put in here, but this seems short, so
I'll keep going. I like being a bit of a geek and knowing a lot of
random trivia type things, but there's always more to learn, and I
love to learn.
It seems like I'm always reading something. I love to read, and
being an English major, it goes with the territory. I'll read just
about anything once, and if I really like it, I'll wear out my
copy. I collect antique books and would like to start a book end
collection. I have one set that I found in an antique store, but I
would like to get a few more sets and eventually have a nice
library when I get my own place. I have the books for it, heaven
knows. As it is I have 5 bookcases in my room and most shelves are
double stacked.
I love spending time with my friends, even if it is just talking on
the phone or online as most of them aren't really around anymore.
We're at that point in our lives where we are spreading out and
starting our lives on our own.
I love a good conversation and as I mention later on, feel free to
catch my on AIM with Slightly11. I'm on quite frequently.
Oh, and the chances that I'll message you first are slim. I've done
that before. I've loved and lost with that start. I want to be
pursued for a change.
What I'm doing with my life Propose an edit
I'm would like to become a librarian eventually, but right now I'm
just living at home with my parents, looking for a job and living
life.
I'm really good at Propose an edit
Listening. I have two very usable ears, so my friends and even
people I don't know like to talk to me about their lives. I'm
apparently good at giving advice because they keep coming back for
more.
I'm also good at cooking. I love to cook and once when I made
dinner for my roommate and myself, she got down on hands and knees
and kissed my feet... I think that's a good thing. ^_^
Along those lines, I'm also really good at figuring out what is in
whatever I'm eating and recreating it. Not always a good thing...
when you tell someone what is really in what they're enjoying...
The first thing(s) people usually notice about me Propose an edit
I'm fat. Yes. It's true. We're all shocked, I know. There will be a
crisis counselor on the premises for the next week for those of us
who may struggle with this mind-blowing news.
And right after that, it's my personality. I'm sarcastic through
and through, but I'm still sweet and can be sensitive when I need
to be. I have a very dry sense of humor, and love plays on words.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food Propose an edit
A) Peter Pan, Heidi, Howl's Moving Castle, The Lost Years of Merlin
series, Xanth novels, The Neverending Story, The Enchanted Forest
Chronicles...I love fantasy and sci-fi, and creative fiction and
creative non-fiction. I'll read most anything set in front of me
actually. I love manga and anime! My favorites are Full Metal
Alchemist and Death Note and I enjoy reading Naruto as well. My
last roommate's trying to get me into more as we
speak...er...type/read...
B) Boondock Saints, Peter Pan (live action), Heidi (not the Shirley
Temple version), Save the Last Dance, Fifth Element, The Blue
Lagoon, Howl's Moving Castle, Serenity, 10 Things I Hate About You,
Newsies, Starship Troopers (it's just so bad it's good), Monty
Python (anything), Cold Mountain, The Last Unicorn, Coyote Ugly,
The Mists of Avalon, The Outsiders, While You Were Sleeping, Ferris
Bueller's Day Off, Little Women, Swing Kids, X-Men, X2, The Mothman
Prophecies, The Butterfly Effect, Moulin Rouge, The Prestige,
Saved!, and so many others we just don't have the time to list. For
the most part, I just don't like comedies that insult the
audience's intelligence, and horror.
C) I'm into Celtic music. I like a lot of random pop, rock,
Christian, country, instrumental, soundtracks, and indie stuff...my
play list is pretty eclectic and it's not uncommon for clashing
songs to follow each other, and for me to thoroughly enjoy it. And
to show this, a random list of favorite artists: Anna Nalick, Josh
Groban, Dragonforce, Within Temptation, Vienna Teng, Queen, Colbie
Caillat, Depeche Mode (more recently), Kamelot, Frou Frou,
Sugarland, Mika, Taylor Swift, Jem, Cascada, Utada Hikaru, Rascal
Flatts, Evanescence, Arooj Aftab, Seether, Hinder, Avril LaVigne,
Drake Bell, Hellogoodbye, Johnny Cash, Heather Nova, Flyleaf, The
Dresden Dolls, Aly & A.J., Willie Nelson, Goo Goo Dolls, Billy
Ray Cyrus, Rammstein, Loreena McKennitt, E Nomine, Steve Conte,
Sarah Bareilles, SR-71, America, and so many more...
D) I make a mean Zuppa Toscana...it's better than Olive Garden's.
^_^ It's my favorite. I'll eat most anything, though, at least I
will if I can tell what it is. I can also make almost anything as
long as I have a recipe, or a good idea of what I'm trying to make.
Oh, and now I'm a huge fan of my cucumber sandwiches... yum. Just
yum.
The six things I could never do without Propose an edit
Books, God, Friends, Love, Water, Music... not necessarily in that
order.
I'm not just being cheap when I go out to a restaurant and get
water. I really do like it. It really is my beverage of choice
mostly. Sure, it's nice that it's free, but honest, that's not my
reason for getting it.
I almost always have music playing. I love music. I love playing
music, making music, singing and anything involving music.
I love to read. I love having books around... yeah, it's not hard
to tell why.
Obviously God is important to me.
My friends bring fun to my day.
I love love. I need to be loved. I want to be loved. yeah...
I spend a lot of time thinking about Propose an edit
Everything. Just trying to figure out what will happen next in my
life right now.
On a typical Friday night I am Propose an edit
I'm not sure what I'm doing. Lately, it's been cleaning...
thrilling, I know.
The most private thing I'm willing to admit here Propose an edit
I hate cutting my toenails. I also hate long toenails. Figure that
one out. But I like long fingernails. On me. Not on you. Cut those
things. I don't want to get hurt. ^_^
I have flaws.
I love too deeply. If I love someone, I never stop. No matter what
they do. Love is an emotion. Love is an attachment. Love is also a
choice. I firmly believe that. But I don't know how to decide to
not love someone.
I make mistakes, but I never think I'm wrong. I either KNOW that
I'm wrong, or I THINK that I'm right. I do know how to tell the
difference, and admit when I am wrong. It happens.
I don't mind talking about sexuality and sex. I really don't. But
I'd like to have been conversing with someone for more than 20
minutes before it comes into the conversation. Actually, I'd like a
couple days, maybe, at least. That being said, there are far too
many guys who message me with requests for meetings for sex, a
guaranteed sex-filled life with them, or who want me to tell them
my fantasies. If you decide to do that, I will become passive,
possibly aggressive, and frustrate you into giving up because I'm
too nice to just tell you to fuck off.
I'm also too nice and permissive. Most of the time.
You should message me if Propose an edit
You don't mind randomness, like odd chats and have read more than
three books in your lifetime. You can catch me on AIM with the sn
Slightly11 if you want. It's probably the best way to reach me. I
love meeting new people and enjoy a random conversation! ^_^
