My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I am a MI transplant, been here over 5 years now, and I work both at DHS in Child Welfare and as a professional babysitter in my spare time.

My passions include reading, writing, spending time with my friends, cooking, traveling, and hiking.

It seems like I'm always reading something. I love to read, and having an English Lit degree, it goes with the territory. I even collect antique children's books.

I love spending time with my friends, even if it is just talking on the phone or online as we seem to be geographically impaired at this point in our lives. We are spreading out and living our lives all over the globe!
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm would like to become a librarian eventually, but I would need grad school before I can get there.
In the mean time, I'm working in Child Welfare, helping to keep Oklahoma County's children safe, and also with Seeking Sitters as a professional babysitter, and loving my crazy busy work schedule.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Listening. I have two very usable ears, so my friends and even people I don't know like to talk to me about their lives. I'm apparently good at giving advice because they keep coming back for more.

I'm also good at cooking. I love to cook and once when I made dinner for my roommate and myself, she got down on hands and knees and kissed my feet... I think that's a good thing.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm fat. Yes. It's true. We're all shocked, I know. There will be a crisis counselor on the premises for the next week for those of us who may struggle with this mind-blowing news.

And right after that, it's my personality. I'm sarcastic through and through, but I'm still sweet and can be sensitive when I need to be. I have a very dry sense of humor, and love plays on words.

Peter Pan, Heidi, Howl's Moving Castle, anything by T. A. Barron, Xanth novels, anything by Garth Nix, fairy tale retellings of all sorts... I enjoy fantasy and sci-fi, and creative fiction and creative non-fiction. Historical fiction is a new guilty pleasure. I'll read most anything set in front of me actually. I enjoy manga and anime. My favorites are Full Metal Alchemist, Witch Hunter Robin, and Death Note.

Boondock Saints, Peter Pan (2003), Howl's Moving Castle, 10 Things I Hate About You, Newsies, Starship Troopers (it's just so bad it's good), Cold Mountain, The Last Unicorn, and so many others we just don't have the time to list. For the most part, I just don't like comedies that insult the audience's intelligence, and horror.

A random list of favorite artists: Celtic Thunder, Ashley MacIsaac, Josh Groban, Dragonforce, Within Temptation, Vienna Teng, Depeche Mode, Sugarland, Seether, Hinder, Avril LaVigne, Drake Bell, Hellogoodbye, Johnny Cash, Flyleaf, Aly & A.J., Willie Nelson, Rammstein, Loreena McKennitt, E Nomine, Steve Conte, Sarah Bareilles, Imagine Dragons

I make a mean Zuppa Toscana... it's better than Olive Garden's. ^_^ It's my favorite. I'll eat most anything, though, at least I will if I can tell what it is. I can also make almost anything as long as I have a recipe, or a good idea of what I'm trying to make.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Books, God, Friends, Love, Water, Talenti gelato... not necessarily in that order.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Everything. My mind is a very busy place. Thinking about how to reorganize my room, what to do on my days off, what I still need to get done, etc.

Also my friends and missing them.

My various writing or craft projects...

I'm very scattered in my thoughts. I go a million directions at once.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Working a double. Same with Saturday and often Sundays and 8am-4am on Wednesdays. A girl's gotta work to keep the lights on!
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I hate cutting my toenails. I also hate long toenails. Figure that one out. But I like long fingernails, which I can't grow.

I have flaws.

I make mistakes, but I never think I'm wrong. I either KNOW that I'm wrong and make amends, or I BELIEVE that I'm right. I do know how to tell the difference, and admit when I am wrong. It happens.

I'm also too nice and permissive. Most of the time. I have my limits, though. Please don't push me.
