My self-summary
Hey, I'm Milandon! I tend to explore or do whatever things interest me the most, as well as attempt to maintain what i do own, such as my computer and my car.

Recently I've been buying padlocks to challenge myself, ever since I bought a lockpicking set at DEFCON (INFOSEC/hacking convention).

My general interests include reading, programming, figuring out how something works (and why I broke it), fixing things, learning about history, finding out what I do not know about the world, and scuba diving!
What I’m doing with my life
So, I'm well off working for a company doing Information Security Analyst work over at a company Cambridge, MA. It's a bit of a train ride, but I do really enjoy the challenge working there provides, so it's worth it.

But that's not my only life goal, not by a long shot! The goal I am working on now is to find a girlfriend, someone who I can talk to, and laugh with. Someone who can help make my life, my world outlook, feel deep and meaningful.
I’m really good at
thinking critically, as well as seeing things from different viewpoints and learning how to use that to my benefit. Paradoxically, I suck at chess, and most other strategy games...
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: I like Fiction because of the ability that may of these writers posses to explain abstract, esoteric, and wholly different concepts to a reader. I think many genres of fiction are instrumental in expanding your mind and your overall perception of the world around you.

Movies and Tv-shows.... hmmm.... so that's tricky. I have seen a LOT. Serenity, geeky as it is, is one of my favorite movies. Anything directed by Guy Richie. All of Mel Brookes movies. I am currently watching Elementary.

In terms of food: Sushi is awesome. So are steaks. Southern cooking, Indian food, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, and a whole lot of "American" food.
The six things I could never do without
After reading and rereading this profile as I've altered it over the months I've been on this site, it always reads like a stiff first date, with no chance to steal a quick kiss (or two).

But in the spirit of this section, I couldn't do without my two cats, annoying and anti-establishmentarianism as they are ("bite the power"). They are not comparable to my human friends, but they are important nonetheless.

I'd still need books, and a computer. Not to mention the internet. Oh, and of course, my family. We don't always 'like' each other, but we love each other, and apparently that's enough.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How I would defend myself and my loved ones if there was ever a zombie outbreak in the city.

Oh, and also how to improve a technical project or piece of code that I'm stuck trying to fix.

I do often wonder how things work, and enjoy figuring new problems out. After all its an engineers job to know how to solve problems. When no problems are available, they'll create their own in a pinch.
On a typical Friday night I am
It depends. I normally enjoy spending time with friends. If I am not feeling that social I will watch a movie, read a book, or mess around with some piece of tech on those occasions.
