My self-summary
Hmmm, who am I? An enigma wrapped in a mystery, wrapped even further in a narcissistic tirade about being mysterious perhaps? But yeah... I'm Wade. Semi-humorous and self indulgent rants aside, the things I really enjoy in life are philosophy, good food, better wine, video gaming, nights out on the town, and of course music.

Other than that I'm a bit adverse to say all that much about me, personality wise at least, I sort of feel like I'm giving away trade secrets...
What I’m doing with my life
Well for the last couple of years I was over in WA for the majority of the time, working within the mining industry, and flying back to Queensland monthly to see friends and family.
I've returned to Brisbane in a relatively more definitive fashion though, with the express intent to finish off a degree I was previously working on.
I’m really good at
Telling stories, or more aptly, being the basis for them.
The first things people usually notice about me
Yeah, the moustache does kind of stand out...
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Whilst I do regret that this section in particular has become a touch overwhelming, I really can't say that I regret it enough to change that fact...

Okay as far as books go 'Thus Spoke Zarathustra' by Friedrich Nietzsche is an old favourite. I <3 Nietzsche . Aside from that, 'The Boat Who Wouldn't Float' by Farley Mowat, 'Nausea' by Jean Paul Sartre, 'Sweet Dreams' by Daniel C. Dennett, and of course a bit of Charles Bukowski when I can. I suppose comics would fall under this banner too, so Transmetropolitan and Neil Gaiman's Sandman comics ought make a mention.

For movies: Les Invasions Barbares, Choke, Thankyou For Smoking, Donnie Darko, The Science of Sleep, Fight Club, Garden State, The Joker is Wild, Wristcutters: a love story, The Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou and Young People Fucking (Which is a Canadian film and not porn, surprisingly)

Musically, I suppose some of my overall favourite artists would (in no particular order) be: Alcoholic Faith Mission, The Shins, Modest Mouse, TV on the Radio, Paul Simon, Vampire Weekend, Tom Waits, The Mars Volta, Radiohead, Death Cab for Cutie, The Mountain Goats, The National, Regina Spektor, Frightened Rabbit, The Eels, The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Queens of the Stone Age, The Faint, Jamie T., Santigold, Hot Hot Heat, System of a Down, The Pixies, Interpol, Jose Ganzalez, The Knife, Lykke Li, The Postal Service, Tegan & Sara, Leonard Cohen...

As for food; it's best served with Wine... Aside from Italian though, I'm a rather horrific chilli fiend; you know the sort that upon running out of food decides that drinking the Tabasco sauce in the cupboard is an incredibly good idea...
Yep I'm that idiot...
The six things I could never do without
People to talk to, or sufficiently people like objects/animals...
Red wine and Scotch, my twin mistresses.
The occasional access to snow.
My computer and it's manifold awesomes.
My unreasonably wonderful friends/family
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Metaphysics, and the existential horror of existence...

Well that and how I would rather like to live in a cabin in a forest near a sea somewhere cold and frigid, so that I can chop fire wood on a semi-regular basis. Go figure...
On a typical Friday night I am
Goodness knows where, doing goodness knows what...
Well really goodness doesn't know; it fact if any normative value judgement was to know what I was doing it wouldn't be goodness...
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Would be that it is that it's nigh on impossible for me to pass by a cat without stopping to pet it for a good while. Whilst it may not be the best of life choices to crouch down in the middle of a dark road at night in a foreign country whilst drunk and wearing black, simply to pet a cat, such decisions are ones I cannot regret: they're so gosh darn cute!

That and if you hadn't already picked up on it; I rather like finishing sentences with ellipses...
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 18–28
  • Located anywhere
  • For new friends, long-term dating, short-term dating
You should message me if
If you like to appreciate the joys of living, without being a virulent twat about how great it is,
If the idea of busting out your personal metaphysical / epistemological / phenomenological notion of being for someone else is equally enthralling and perturbing,
If you're quiet because you've not got anything worthwhile to say, rather than because you're shy,

Then I'm probably right up your alley, causing a ruckus, drinking and playing with the alley cats.
