My Self-Summary

I'm a hopelessly romantic purveyor of insurance and a fount of useless knowledge. I read a lot, I write a bit, and while life has given me its fair share of knocks, I'm determined not to let it get me down. Kind of starting a new chapter in my life right now. Just got a rather large promotion, I'm making... considerably more than I thought I would be, and I don't know anyone at all down here. I'm a native of the upper-midwest. Think the most boring state in the union. I came to Colorado for rather complicated reasons, but now that I'm here, I'm staying. However I do have a deep-seated fear of mountains. They intimidate me.

What I’m doing with my life

Honestly I haven't a clue. I'm driven, working 50-60 hours a week, but it's mainly to afford superficial stuff. Toys and whatnot. Not sure I could tell you what my endgame is in the whole thing, but I'm planning to be retired by 35 with a cool million in the bank.

I’m really good at

Licking my own nose, tying the stem of a cherry into a knot using only my tongue...

I'm in sales. Some people are good at bullshitting. Me... I make a living off of it.

I am also a pretty darn good chef. I have my own Alton Brown salt cellar, like the one he uses on the show. I am also more than willing to drop a few grand on quality cookware.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Anything by Chuck Palahniuk, Terry Pratchett and pretty much anything else. I read. A lot.

I like all kinds of cinema, but I'm not afraid to walk out on crap movies. Shaun of the Dead is easily the greatest achievement mankind has ever produced, second perhaps only to Hot Fuzz.

Other hits include, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are dead, Brazil, Memento and many many others.

I'll listen to any kind of music except country. I have much hate for country music.

I like fine dining. I LOVE to cook. And Alton Brown is my hero.
