My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Striving for brevity: Transplant from Ohio. Resident physician specializing in pathology. Lover of science *and* art (and many other things). Enthusiastic patron of movie theaters, libraries, coffee shops, and Netflix. Unlike everyone else in the world of online dating, I like my friends and family and enjoy fun. Unfortunately, I can't claim to be "laid back" or "easy-going," but I do like relaxing sometimes (unbelievable as it sounds). And I can be funny--though why you'd take my word for that I have no idea. You should take my word about my gargantuan height and my age, though my face seems to be taking ages to catch up.

If I had to summarize myself in one sentence, it would be: I love mysteries. What I mean by that is something we can talk about should you be interested.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm currently scrambling up the terrifyingly steep learning curve that is a pathology residency here in Dallas. I have a long way to go yet, but it's been quite interesting so far. And eventually, I hope to be a functioning, competent pathologist, immersing myself in the mysteries of pathophysiology and what disease really looks like whether through the lens of a microscope or the endless machinery of a clinical lab.

I have many other long-term schemes percolating, but I'll leave those for when we're getting to know each other better.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Falling down the rabbit hole of asking-too-many-questions.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Ask yourself: when was the last time you told someone the first thing you *actually* noticed about them? See the problem? Instead, here's a (related, I promise) exchange I like from Bones:

Pickering: Did I see you on television this morning?
Brennan: How could I possibly know what you watched on television?
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. Physiologically essential inputs of matter and energy
2. My senses
3. The ability to manipulate objects
4. Other conscious entities--particularly, You
5. Art (in its widest meaning)
6. Mysteries
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
It's remarkably difficult to answer this question honestly without coming off as pretentious, so I'll leave it at: the many interesting puzzles that life presents.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
How about I expand this to a typical weekend? In that case, I do some combination of: movies, swing dancing, reading, book clubs, game nights, and Netflix.

Also working, but that's probably not as interesting to the teeming millions of the internet.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
If I admitted it here, it wouldn't be private, would it?

Then again, that answer is a little lame, so here's a sweet nothing: this site is a sort of pink ego box.

And: I may have felt compelled to keep answering match questions until the robot told me there weren't anymore. I may have a problem.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You're interested. I promise I'm actually quite approachable. But major bonus points for any of the following:

You are passionate about whatever you have chosen to pursue in life.
You want to discuss interesting ideas--of any variety.
You know that the owls are not what they seem, or God loves you as He loved Jacob.
You happen to be Saoirse Ronan.
