I am wiry, inquisitive, and self-efacing.
My Self-Summary
I've been in Chicago about a year (since late Summer 2008). Before
then, I worked on Wall St for a number of years and spent 18 months
backpacking
across Asia looking for self knowledge, inner peace, and other
stuff money can't buy. I feel lucky to be able to live well, but I
also have ambiguous feelings about the materialistic habits of our
culture. I try to be conscious about the environmental impact of my
habits, though I am no saint and I waste no time with guilt.
I'm socially outgoing and make fast friends. It saddens me that I
can't keep them all. Luckily, I live with an eccentric mix of grad
students and almost always have an abundance of good company,
conversation, and home baked cookies.
I recently started rock climbing in gyms and in WI when I can get
away for some camping.
What I’m doing with my life
computer math stuff. can't complain. I just feel bad for all the
artists out there who are getting hit by the recession.
I’m really good at
having genuine conversations with new people, helping grumpy people
to smile, admitting when I'm wrong, reading myself to sleep,
guarding my chastity, and thinking abstractly.
The first things people usually notice about me
I have no idea! But man I wish I did, because then I might be able
to stop obsessing anxiously about whether or not people think I
have the same condition as
woody allen.
also, i look young.

I spend a lot of time thinking about
how I can integrate
Buddhist perspectives/practices into my
life in order to subvert my neurotic
jewish upbringing.
Also, what is the meaning of this word "God." Hearing my initial
views, most people consider me an atheist, but that disregards an
entire dimension of understanding. As a culture, it pains me how we
lack a lot of the vocabulary necessary to express the subtleties of
our experience.
On a typical Friday night I am
definitely not at a bar. More likely, eating a home-cooked dinner
with friends. I love to cook Indian, middle-eastern, japanese,
korean, and Italian.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
I modeled nude for a sculpture artist when I was in college.
