My self-summary
Pale and interesting.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm an aspiring I work in retail while doing some film criticism on my days off. Last year I saw 108 films in the cinema so that's a pretty good indication of what I'm doing with my life.
I'm currently learning to tap dance. At the moment my left leg is rebellious.
I’m really good at
Writing. Baking. Conversation. The missing vowels round in Only Connect.
The first things people usually notice about me
Not entirely sure but I like to think I'm a pretty snappy dresser, so if I'm wearing my gold Chelsea boots then probably it's them. I've been told I've a good smile...I respectfully disagree. But it doesn't stop me doing it.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: My favourite author is Martin Amis, even though I wasn't a big fan of The Pregnant Widow. Virginia Woolfe. F. Scott Fitzgerald. Hunter S. Thompson. Thomas Hardy. Non fiction stuff like Bad Science by Ben Goldacre, Jon Ronson, Living Dolls by Natasha Walter. Lots basically. I didn't do history in school and like filling in my huge chasms of knowledge in all areas historical - if you have any recommendations? Oh and Sight and Sound magazine every month.

Movies: Ok then. Movies are the love of my life. They have kept me and continue to keep me sane, always there through the toughest of times. It's not just about explosions. All of it. But here's what I can think of this second. Vertigo, Halloween, The Exorcist, Eraserhead, It's A Wonderful Life, Withnail & I, All About Eve, All About My Mother, Harold and Maude, The Princess Bride, Taxi Driver, Midnight Cowboy, Mulholland Drive, Drive, Shivers, Don't Look Now, Rosemary's Baby, The Thing, Antichrist, All About Eve, Badlands, Bug, Cabaret, Fitzcarraldo, Gilda, ...if, On the Waterfront

Shows: The Wire, Twin Peaks, The X Files, The Twilight Zone, Deadwood, Freaks and Geeks, The Office, Brass Eye, Arrested Development, The Ricky Gervais Show, The IT Crowd, Misfits, The Inbetweeners, Seinfeld, The League of Gentlemen, Doctor Who, Firefly, Poirot...god I love David Suchet.

Music: The Smiths and Morrissey, Pulp, Dylan, Interpol, Joy Division, Aretha Franklin, 60's girl groups, Peggy Lee, Billy Bragg, Elvis, Buddy Hollly, Howlin Wolf, Dexys, Minutemen, Regina Spektor, Pavement, The Byrds, Neutral Milk Hotel, The Sonics, The Buzzcocks, Cat Stevens, Elbow, Gang of Four, Midlake, Grandaddy, Ian Dury, Kate Bush, Joni Mitchell, Maximo Park, Peggy Lee, Roxy Music...much much more

Rogue category: Podcasts!! Frank Skinner on Absolute, Answer Me This, Sick and Wrong, Smodcast, Tell Em Steve Dave etc. LOTS

Food: I love food. And I think I'm not fussy until I list the things I hate - banana, beetroot, rhubarb, root veg, anything aniseed, porridge, sushi... Pretty much anything else I'm on board with.
The six things I could never do without
iPod, Cineworld Unlimited card, pen and paper (does that count as one?), a little human interaction, coffee, diary (I have a head like a sieve)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
I spend a lot of time staring into space thinking so maybe a selection from today: why has the fashion for having a spoken word section in a song gone? Trying to figure out if I really did do a theme park version of The Crystal Maze when I was young, or did I dream it? That David Cross show Todd Margaret was seriously disappointing...
On a typical Friday night I am
more than likely watching a movie either at home or in the cinema. If I'm lucky having a couple of pints.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm on the verge of giving up on this whole dating business. It's exhausting isn't it??
I’m looking for
  • Guys who like girls
  • Ages 27–35
  • Near me
  • Who are single
  • For new friends, long-term dating, short-term dating
You should message me if
you have a voice like Rod Serling.
