My self-summary
I tend to be everything you think I'm not. I break the stereotype you believe to be true. I care more about how other people are doing than I care about myself. If I could live a life on the road, I would say no. Family is incredibly important in life. November is the worst month of the year.

That's the awkward-one-paragraph-on-non-connected-sentences to describe myself, but I guess you'd also want to know more.

I'm New England born and bred but took a 2 year hiatus living in Buffalo recently. Graduated back in 2011 with a Biology degree (read: I'm a nerd) but went to grad school to study higher ed and all the fun stuff that comes along with working with college kids. That's what brought me out to Buffalo, the land of chicken wings and the Bills (unfortunately).

Now I'm back, living in Boston, and finally discovering this whole work-life balance thing. Which means, I have hobbies but they are ever changing right now so I'm all up for meeting someone who is willing to show me a thing or too. I'm also doing that whole "maybe you should get in shape now that you're not in class 8 hours a day" if you've got any tips, hit me up.
What I’m doing with my life
Working at a college in Boston making sure students are developing and having fun at the same time. I also recently has a gig as an Editor-in-chief for a Youtuber's website.

I'm basically a professional college student. It's a lot more complex than it sounds.
I’m really good at
Playing the clarinet, drawing the chemical structures in your shampoo bottle, and getting anyone to open up and get through any situation.

I once was really good at singing a song about the periodic table. I have sadly lost that talent over the years.
The first things people usually notice about me
My height. Closely followed by my hair. It's pretty fantastical.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: To Kill a Mockingbird, Lord of the Flies, the whole Harry Potter Series (but specifically Goblet of Fire), The Hunger Games series (except not really Mockingjay), Divergent, The Fault in Our Stars, anything by Emily Giffin, and my Analytical Chemistry textbook (her name was Renee. There's a great story behind that one.)

Movie: Lord of the Rings Triology, most Rom Coms (don't judge that), anything war related, Book-to-movie franchises, and guilty pleasure = A Cinderella Story.

Shows: Bones, House, M*A*S*H, Grey's Anatomy, How I Met Your Mother, Big Bang Theory, Glee, Private Practice, Chicago Fire, Third Watch & ER back in the day, American Pickers, Pawn Stars, Parking Wars

Music: The Beatles, Yellowcard, Maroon 5, CCR, Kate Voegele, Fun., Gavin DeGraw, Bastille, The 1975, whoever is at Boston Calling and whatever is on the Top 40. This can change rapidly.

Food: Lobster Mac 'n' Cheese
The six things I could never do without
1. H20
2. A blanket
3. My car Clifford
4. Faith
5. Family & Friends (to me they're one)
6. 3 wishes
I spend a lot of time thinking about
What I'm going to do next.
On a typical Friday night I am
Sometimes working. Most of the time relaxing after a hectic week either with some coworkers and just hanging around in the peace and quiet of my apartment. My line of work tends to be pretty high-strung, so whenever I can just chill out, I do.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I have a fear of thunder and lightning.
I’m looking for
  • Guys who like girls
  • Ages 23–30

You enjoy a good dose of sarcasm. Can get where I'm coming from. Don't mind a real conversation. And if you don't mind spending a night in and just hanging out every once and a while.

Oh, and if you read this far, congratulations! I owe you a high five.
