So, I had a whole section of me trying to be all well adjusted and shit but I've decided to switch it up a bit and just be honest... Here we go.
I'm an actor. I do all sorts of actory things that actors do. For example:
I email agents they usually don't get back to me
I go to auditions at seven in the morning
I sometimes don't get seen there because I'm not equity
I submit to about twenty auditions basically everyday although I usually don't hear back from any other them.
There is a lot of waiting involved in this whole process but that's really boring to write about.
Speaking of writing I write a lot because I haven't been cast in anything lately so fine! I'll do it myself!
I'm a waiter at a BBQ joint in the west village.
Yes, I do unbutton my shirt a little further than it should for the gay guys. They tip better than most...
So acting sounds kind of shit by now doesn't it? So why do I do it? Because I fucking love it. Seriously. Have you ever been paid to do something you love? It's like sex while on ecstasy while getting a call that you just won a trip to Hawaii. It's as if you said a statement to someone and that someone didn't believe you and they said 'Pshh, yeah. When pigs fly.' And pigs actually started to fly. It's like finding a pot of gold at the end of a double rainbow and Emma Stone, Julia Stiles, and Carly Rae Jepson all sing you lullabies while a lawyer counts the gold and puts it in the bank so the government can't tax it.. It feels like... You know... Explosions!.. and stuff... Ok you get the point.
ALSO... I think I'm pretty damn good... But you can judge that for yourself.
That may not be the best example but whatever... Oh yeah. And I just finished an indie film where I was the lead and it's going to festivals next year. I'll let you know how it goes.
