My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I enjoy creating value for my environment, which is one of the reasons I enjoy running several businesses. I also enjoy hanging out with one or more friends, cycling, sailing, watching movies, listening to music. I like happy faces and I like to create more of those. :) Furthermore, I can really enjoy an intellectual, in-depth conversation about business, science, politics, culture, but also just cuddle at the sofa, watching a movie together or breathe fresh air at a nice walk.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm owning and running three companies in three different sectors: transportation, recreation and consultancy. I'm enjoying setting challenges to myself and I enjoy meeting (new) people from all different places. I have customers from over 50 different nationalities and I love to talk about their culture and hear their stories and meet with a number of them outside business just for fun.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I'm quite sociable and easy talking to a variety of different people.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
People are telling me quite often they feel I'm easy-going and I have a lot of positive energy. :o)
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
I love Japanese, Italian, Chinese, Vietnamese and Indonesian cuisine. Where books are concerned, I usually prefer science books. Music-wise I'm very broad. I like soft-pop, some classical, but I enjoy listening to pretty much any genre once in a while. I like watching movies, but I don't have a real favorite. I do prefer more intellectual / intelligent / artistic movies.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Friends / family
Exploring / trying new things
Entrepreneuring
Developing myself
Traveling
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How to challenge myself, how to develop my businesses, but also how to make fun, where I want to travel to.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Hanging out with friends / a friend.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm a sapiophile. For the people who don't know this word: it's nothing scary, it's just that I get turned on by intelligent people, rather than looks. Looks definitely help. A beautiful / slim woman who can outsmart me, is a definite femme fatale for me. ;) I don't mind to be challenged in a relationship - as long as it is not turning into a competition. Furthermore, I like philosophical reasoning. For instance, I sometimes wonder whether decisions are real. Maybe making decisions is just a perception, but actually we don't make decisions. You can't decide you are hungry and when you decide to eat, it might be merely the perception of making a decision. This might hold also for more complicated / sophisticated 'decisions', but perhaps we are in the illusion that these are 'real' decisions. And if that's true, then the next question you could ask, is whether we actually exist. Perhaps existence is also an illusion. I do think the molecules, etc are there, but I challenge the concept of 'me' or 'I'. Maybe you would build tables and you give one to someone, you might ask whether it's this table specific that this person gets, or it's just a table and now given to this person. For us or any complex organism, it might be the same. What differs us from other people? And if that's true, then perhaps consciousness doesn't really exist either, but instead we are in our own illusion and perceptions, at the mercy of our own power of believing what's not there.
