My Self-Summary
Nothing dared nothing gained. I'm an overweight 22 year old man who
lives with his mother and her boyfriend, I work full time and I'll
be going back to school in the spring to resume my education as a
whatever-it-was-I-wanna-be-when-I-grow-up. I love my family, I'm
loyal to my friends, and I try to be as diverse and multi-faceted
as a I can while staying true to myself. I'm not good with first
impressions, or with greeting people, but I'm loyal, trusting, and
I believe in people. I want someone to believe in me, what I'm
capable of and what I say I'm going to do. Above all I'd love for
someone to fall in love with me, not because I was nice to them
someplace or whatever, but because they see my person and go,
"There's someone I can fall in love with, for better or worse".
Then again, who doesn't want that?
What I’m doing with my life
Trying to live, and to learn how I wanna live so that I'm not just
moving through the motions day in and day out. I wanna be
healthier, I wanna be smarter, I wanna have more skills.
I’m really good at
Video games, reading, writing, being a friend and taking care of my
people. Driving, eating, cooking and baking. Seeing humor in odd
situations
The first things people usually notice about me
My oddball sense of humor, which is probably followed by people
noticing my chubby self and my blue eyes.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
I love music in all its forms, as long as its a good or even decent
example of the genre its from. I prefer rock to most other genres,
though. As far as books go, I currently love Steve Alten's Meg
series, and the works of John Steakley. Crichton, Benchley, and
King are old stand-by favorites, and I'm an unashamed fan of
Timothy Zahn's Star Wars novels. I'm also a lover of classic
gothic/romantic fiction, from authors like Poe, Bierce, and
Lovecraft. I love movies, with my favorites being Jaws, Jurassic
Park, Dark City, Equilibrium, and Blade Runner off the top of my
head, but I love to watch movies, even if I'm not much of a
"horror" movie fan. Food? Oh, I just love food. Burgers and tacos,
pizza and sesame chicken, food is good. I also love to cook food,
and baking is something else I'm good at. I make a mean, delicious
chocolate cheesecake.
The six things I could never do without
My family, first and foremost, they're damned near everything to me
and thanks to recent events I expect to be spending even more time
with them. My friends, because the ones who are worth it are almost
family. My computer, because I'm a nerd. The internet, because it
makes the computer oh so much fun. My bed, cause I like to sleep,
and sleeping well is a luxury I've grown used to. And finally,
Peppermint Patties, the best candy EVER.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The nature of life, love, existence, and whether there really is
intelligent life outside of my universe.
On a typical Friday night I am
Either drinking with a buddy or at home on the internet, though not
for lack of wanting to be out and about.
