Your Notes
Edit your notesI am pretty, patronizing, and punk.
My Self-Summary
I'm a master of all trades, jack of none. Or, as it was once put, in a slightly less complimentary fashion: "he never does anything half-assedly; he uses his whole ass."
I'm a pretty emotional guy. My most common emotion is Hunger.
What I’m doing with my life
I’m really good at
The first things people usually notice about me
1) That I wear glasses
2) That I look like Stephen Colbert
The second may or may not be a matter of opinion.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Anything by Woody Allen.
Anything by Frank Zappa or Talking Heads.
Anything sushi.
I guess I'll throw in something about Douglas Adams and Monty Python here, but I more or less absorbed all their material before I was 13, so I kind of take them for granted...
I recently saw the Three Colors trilogy, and thought it was brilliant.
The six things I could never do without
1) Pencils and paper. Running out of them is the only serious occupational hazard for mathematicians.
2) A Go board. Every now and then I get a fever, and the only cure is more weiqi.
3) Sound equipment. Yes, I'm one of *those* people. No I don't glue weird pebbles onto my cables.
4) Recording equipment. Now it gets interesting. Did I mention that I once wrote and recorded a song every two days for a month? True story.
5) Whisky.
6) Parking permits.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
On a typical Friday night I am
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
