My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm a consummate bookworm who enjoys the company of down to earth, low-maintenance people. Dedicated coffee-drinker, yard-sale shopper, and library patron (if I can pay those pesky fines.) Snarky, chatty, easily distracted by shiny objects.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Being gainfully employed and walking around with my head in a book
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Filling awkward silences with witty non-sequiturs and comical asides. Yelling out jeopardy answers. Troubleshooting. Having strong opinions about genre fiction
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
When I find out I'll be sure to let you know
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
I cannot turn away good science fiction, or bad for that matter. I've been trying to diversify. Recently I finished the latest Rivers of London and looking forward to Vandermeer's Annihilation. Some standby rereads are To Kill A Mockingbird, Harry Potter, anything by Terry Pratchett, Christopher Moore, Stephen King, and Umberto Eco.

Also, I'm wicked into comics. Ongoing series include Saga, Revival and Chew

My taste in movies runs a little bit less high brow. Top DVDs are Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, Simpsons Movie, and The Critic. I love to laugh at undignified things. I also like noir (anything with Bogart), musicals, and bad action movies.

Music-wise, I'm a little all over. Same goes with food, but I'm a sucker for anything with garlic
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Pen and Paper at arm's reach
A place to sit outside
Hair clip
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Why I can't remember the difference between its and it's, dammit.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
On the town or putting a dent into my latest library find
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I paint my nails like an 8th grader
