My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm a 39 year old Brooklyn transplant from St. Louis looking for someone compatible to spend time with. Let's meet, get to know each other, have fun and see where it goes. I'm open to all types of activities and social events.

The opportunity to meet new people and share new experiences is reason enough alone to join okcupid. So let's do the damn thing!!!!

Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

My favorite music includes Prince, Sade, John Coltrane, Little Brother, and Miles Davis. The neo-soul music of the late 90's-early 2000's is a personal favorite. Maxwell, D'angelo, Jill Scott, Erykah Badhu, etc. I'm still lamenting the fact that Floetry broke up. Marsha's visceral singing was just the right juxtaposition to Natalie's breathless british prose. I also like Electronica, trip-hop, Acid jazz, and traditional, old school hip hop. I dare you to try to beat me at reciting Rakim lyrics. I dare you!!!!!

I love reading, but I don't have a favorite book. Some of my favorites include The God Delusion by Richard Dawkins, Invisible Man by Ralph Ellison, and anything by Michael Crichton and Tom Clancy. I'm currently reading Game of Thrones: Fire and Ice, The New Jim Crow; The War on Drugs, and Robert Patterson's first book in the Alex Cross series Along Came a Spider. Oh yeah, I read more than one book at a time, not because I'm brilliant but because I think I have undiagnosed ADD. When I was coming up, kids didn't have ADD...they were just bad. lol
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.

Who the Rams are going to draft in the first round?
Why Coltrane didn't do more ballads?
I hope with all my might that the EU breaks up so my money can go further during European vacations.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Being somewhere and doing something that involves food, wine, whiskey, or working up a sweat. The best Friday nights involve them all.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
