Hello! My name is Thorin and I am a very laid back kind of guy. I've been known to get worked up about thing or two, but for the most part I pretty much just stay relaxed and just try to roll with things. That's not to say I don't have any ambition, on the contrary a couple of the few things I get worked up over are my greatest passions.

First of all it's Video Games, let's just put that out there where everyone can see it.

I love Video Games, to me it's the ultimate form of entertainment. But I won't waste too much of your time with that mess here, let's just say that I absolutely love video games and want to be involved with that industry as soon as possible.

My second greatest passion and dream is to be able to get a nice big boat and traverse the seas! To see things I've never seen and to be able to meet and know new and interesting people! Not only that but I have a natural attraction to the sea! Me and my best friends make it a point to visit the beach at least once a year!

Overall I'm kind of a goofball, I like to laugh and use humor in all it's forms. But usually in the forms that just make me laugh and make other people just tilt their heads in confusion. But that can be funny too!

I'm very picky about the people I let into my life. It can't really be helped, but I like to feel that I am a pretty good judge of character, at least on a subconscious level. I have the two best friends I could have wished for and that was a long process indeed. I could count my friends on my hands but they are friends I would keep for life.

I am currently working to make my own video game. I have friends working on the music and I am currently doing everything else myself, learning to program and doing the necessary artwork. I'm very passionate about getting into and influencing the industry in any way I can.

Also looking for a better job then the one I have.

When it comes to creative fiction I would like to think I am a pretty good writer. And then there's video games, but I feel like that goes without saying at this point.

I'm good at dealing with computers too, I built my first computer early in high school after taking a hardware class and since then I've been able to keep this stuff running pretty well.

The first thing people notice usually is that I'm quiet and introverted. That can't be helped, I've had a pretty bad time getting along with people growing up so it makes it hard for me to want to open up to people. It's a bit unreasonable but it is what it is.

Once that barrier is broken down people will notice that I like to crack wise and make dumb jokes. I like to poke fun at others and expect them to poke fun at me too.

When all the walls are broken down people can see that I am a real weirdo. I like to make voices, say things that are just generally out of place and weird and not take the world and it's happenings too seriously.

Books

I haven't done a whole lot of reading lately, but I was really into anything by Richard A. Knaak for a while. That and the Sword of Truth Series. I like most sci-fi and fantasy genre books.

Movies

I like the LotR series of movies, Shawshank Redemption, Cloud Atlas, The Mask, Beetlejuice, Pulp Fiction.

Shows

I'll be honest when I say that when it comes to shows I really only like old cartoons from my childhood, at least when it comes to things I would add to a list of favorites. Ed Edd n' Eddy, Spongebob, The Simpsons, Futurama, Dexters Lab, Powerpuff Girls, X-men. Oh! But I do like Star Trek: TNG and Voyager.

Music

There really isn't a style of music I don't like, save most country music. Some of my favorites are really just a bunch of 90's grunge that I used to listen to with my step-dad. Garbage, Alice in Chains, Rob Zombie, Gorillaz, Daft Punk, Ozzy, Powerman 5000, Cake, The Protomen, Beastie Boys, Queensryche, Dokken, Soundgarden, Audioslave and Pink Floyd just to name a few. Not to mention Video Game music.

My All Time Favorite Game is The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask.

My favorite Series of all time is the Metal Gear Solid series.

My favorite online competitive type game is Dota 2

My favorite fighting game is Soul Calibur

Aside from all that I have sat down with most games that have come out over the past few years. Some of my other favorites are the Phoenix Wright series, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Zelda: Links Awakening, Warhammer 40k: Dawn of War I & II, Half-Life 2, Diablo 2, Warcraft 3, World in Conflict, Cave Story, Super Mario Sunshine and a bunch more probably.

I spend a lot of time thinking about character design, what allows someone to connect with a fictional character, how characters would interact in a realistic and interesting way.

I also spend a lot of time thinking about different video games, what makes them work or fail and then comparing them to my favorite game of all time (Majora's Mask) and seeing how and why it did something better.

Other times I just like to talk to myself, trying to work out potential dialogue between characters.

I'm a bit in my own universe.
