My self-summary
I'm a graduate of UNC Chapel Hill. I like books, beer, bunnies, and Bohemian Rhapsody. I identify as pansexual, not bisexual. Boo gender binary.

Call me pretty and cook me some grits.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm moving to Portland at the beginning of August to get settled in before I start law school at Lewis and Clark. Gonna be a queer, fat, feminist lawyer!

Stressful pre-moving swag.
I’m really good at
Eatin' sunflower seeds.

Oh, and cooking and baking. I make a mean Black Pearl cake. I recently acquired a sourdough starter and am trying really, really hard to bake bread. I haven't killed my kombucha SCOBY yet.

I'm also ridiculously good at traveling. I'm a compact packer and a natural at public transportation. I go to great lengths to not be an obnoxious tourist.

I'm pretty good at finding rabid critters (ask me about Lil Drake).
The first things people usually notice about me
My general look of distraction.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I'm a huge fan of William S. Burroughs, Allen Ginsberg (but fuck Jack Kerouac), Irvine Welsh, Roberto Bolano, and Graham Greene. I also have a soft spot for bad lesbian fiction and the Russians.

I like movies. A lot. My favorite film is Gregg Araki's Nowhere. Feel free to argue with me about his significance in New Queer Cinema, but don't tell me putting Skinny Puppy in a film was the only good thing he ever did. Also, Cassavetes.

SO as far as TV goes I'm really diggin Broad City right now. Also My Mad Fat Diary is the greatest and I will defend Rae Earl with every ounce of my being because she is the fat representation I wish I had seen when I was a fat 17 year old with impeccable taste. AHH this show is just so great and I could talk about it forever. Message me if you saw the series 2 finale and we can gush together. Rinn 5evr.

I have hella eclectic taste in music. Basically, let's get together and eat greasy breakfast food while listening to Patsy Cline.
The six things I could never do without
Tea
Bunnies
John Waters films
Chickpeas
Floss
Feminism
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Intersectional Feminism, the future, The Future, crayons, Oxford Commas, the significance of dreams, and how goddam beautiful the word bricolage is...
On a typical Friday night I am
When I was away at college I was usually at a party, a show, a bar, or in my bed snuggling with Netflix.

From now until Portland I'm typically drinking with friends at someone's house or doing nothing. Small town melancholia.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I can't whistle. You can't teach me.
I’m looking for
  • Everybody
  • Ages 21–30
  • Near me
  • For new friends
You should message me if
I'm mostly on here for shits and giggles, but would love to meet some interesting new people. Message me if you like divey bars and aren't into "roots revival."

Message me if you're from Portland and want to chat about how awesome your city is/ what an awesome time I'll have there in August!

OH! And message me if you're looking for a kombucha SCOBY (Symbiotic Colony of Bacteria and Yeast). I can accommodate. My mushrooms just keep reproducing and I can't drink kombucha that quickly.

Also, if you want to talk about how cool the phrase "desperate euphoria" is.
