My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I believe in work hard, play harder, take what I do seriously, but myself less so! Cliches aside, I do love my work, I work in health promotion, which is equal parts behavioral science, medicine, creativity, humor and compassion. I've moved and traveled a lot in life, and have been very blessed to witness many lifestyles and cultures that afford a broad perspective to work with different people and cultures. So far, I've lived in Hong Kong, Peru, done some work in Korea and will be going to Ghana this winter... And a long list of places just for fun that I hope will keep growing-would be fun to have a partner in crime!

As for personal life, I like to stay very active, incl but not exclusive to the gym. I love my FitBit!! I sold my car before moving to California, so walk everywhere, the only caveat being less choices for shoes and the fact that San Diego sprawls indefinitely without accompanying scenic routes. I am always down with exploring new places for food and drink, preferably on the water, but any place the beer is cold is fine with me. This is also a great city to take advantage of days trips, hiking, kayaking, breweries, the zoo... I actually have an annual pass and occasionally go on my lunch-nothing breaks up the workday like a quick tour of the monkeys.

I strive to be strong: in body, character, mind and heart . I'm looking for the same in a partner...who can also enjoy a Will Ferrell movie!
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Working tirelessly to save the world! Or at least improve it. Engineering every day for maximum enjoyment, fulfillment and to show the universe I'm grateful to be here. Counting my blessings, but never settling. Staying active. Showing people I care about how much I appreciate them. Trying to learn new things and skills. Laughing...hopefully in good company!
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Describing obscure flavors in wine, finding the bright side, solution-oriented approach to any situation, making up wacky work-outs with less popular gym equipment so I don't have to wait in line, getting an LOL moment in a board meeting with a mischievous metaphor
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Friendly, confident, outspoken, smiling or laughing... Or maybe my physical attributes, depends on the observer
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

David Sedaris, The Office, elephants, hot sauce, LIL JON, sour beer, Tina Fey, Queen, one hit wonders from the 90s, LL Cool J, Bill Bryson, the Jurassic park movies-really any movie about animal predators, how I met your mother, the Mindy project, modern family, zoobiquity, missy Elliot, ludacris, science non-fiction...
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
6 things I can't do without: supportive family, caring friends, optimism, sunshine, laughter, hot sauce

6 things I can definitely live without: arbitrary list length, cooked carrots, professional sports, whining, dichotomous politics, cynicism about others
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How to appreciate each day, what I can do to improve things around me, whether sharks are largely misunderstood, and how long I have til my next adventure...or how to cook one up if it's not on the horizon
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
out! dinner, drinks, dancing, making new friends, enjoying existing, some other adventure?
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I've officially cut myself off from gummy vitamins. They zap my self control and I end up with 800,000% of my daily vitamin intake.

Seriously though, getting to know someone, especially intimate details, is a privilege you earn through building trust and caring, not a freebie to cruise online... In my humble opinion
