I like to keep active-whether it's with music or food or learning or biking or whichever. I love good conversation over good food and beer. I like to laugh and make other people laugh. A perfect day for me would either a long bike ride or just hanging out at home watching a movie. I'm looking for someone to have these adventures with.

Skydiving, chainsaw juggling, jousting, saying awkward things, and making up outlandish things I'm good at (also cooking).

Most of the books I read are about science: Zimmer,Weinberg, George Klein,Dawkins,etc. But I also like Camus, Vonnegut, Borges,Powers; whatever strikes me as interesting.

I like to find cult and unusual type movies other people generally haven't seen. I'm a big fan of Kung Fu movies, but basically foreign films of all types. Other movies I like are Office Space, Wicker Man, Pi, American Beauty, Lord of the Rings Trilogy, Carlito's Way, God Father; hell, anything with Pacino!

As far as jazz goes I like Coltrane, Miles Davis, Art Blakey, Wayne Shorter, Gato Bartbieri, Chick Corea, Paquito D'Riveria and I'll stop there. Bob Dylan, The Band, Paul Butterfield, REM, Zappa. Afrcian music: Orchestra Baobab, Habib Koite, Yousou, Franco, IK Dairo, Kekele, Bembeya Jazz, etc. etc, etc. . .

One of my favorite things about living in Portland is all the food options. I'm a pretty avid biker, so going out and finding interesting new food carts sounds like a pretty good day.
