I was born and raised in the Northeast, Connecticut to be specific,
and moved to Texas a little over 3 years ago. And, yes, I miss it.
The fall is breathtakingly beautiful with the colorful leaves; the
winter is cold and there are times when it snows that your front
door may freeze shut; the spring is just wet, the rain never seems
to stop; and the summer includes great beach days. I don't speak
with a funny accent; I'll allow Staten Island and the Jersey Shore
to keep that to themselves.
I have found that Texas also offers it's own wonders. People do
not, in fact, ride horses to school or work. And Southern
hospitality and chivalry is not dead. I have grown to love the
Rangers, and as for the Cowboys, well I just hope they get it
together.
I have no regrets with any of my life choices. Everything happens
for a reason and everything has a way of working itself out.
