I am excitable, contemplative, and excitable.

My Self-Summary

There are so many things to do in this world that I find it hard to sit still.
I am impulsive.
I am a man of science and reason, but I am guided largely by impulse.
I love music, and believe in the lyrics of my favorite songwriters more than most people believe in anything.

I am not a sports fan but I do follow the Phillies and PSU football

I don't quite know how to cook, but i try, and I'm occasionally successful

I fidgit, even while I am teaching or watching TV I need to be playing with something, like a tennis ball.

I made the mistake of going out west to snowboard a couple times, and now every time i go to any other mountain, it just doesn't seem enjoyable.

I used to be a collegiate athlete and that kept me in pretty good shape. But then college ended. I am trying to find ways to get back into the pool.

I love traveling. I've been to Colorado, Puerto Rico, Florida, Canada and most of the Northeast. I would really like to start seeing more of the world. (Not America)

I'm horrible at Jeopardy. It's gotten to the point where I am to embarrased to yell out a guess while I'm alone.

What I’m doing with my life

I make fun of kids for doing things wrong. You may call it teaching.

I live with my brother and a friend in South Philadelphia, and spend most of my free time outside.

I am a lazy musician. I go on spurts of writing and playing every several months.

I’m really good at

Entertaining myself.
100 yard butterfly.
Directions.
Handstands.

The first things people usually notice about me

I make terrible jokes and I can't help it. In any conversation I usually make one of those painful puns every 7 minutes or so.

I also don't have any hair on my head. Its fairly obvious.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

I love punk rock (Bouncing Souls, Lifetime, Kid Dynamite, Hot Water Music, Face to Face), Bruce Springsteen, The Hold Steady, A lot of music from the 90's (The Get-Up Kids, Cap'n Jazz, The Promise Ring.) I listen to much more than that, but those would be my favorites out of the gate.

I like meat, mexican food, sushi, and seafood, In addition to the classic staples.

I am not a huge reader, but when I do read, I like to read non-fiction, or philosophy, short stories and poetry more than anything. I am currently working through a book called "The Great Equations". Im a dork. For some reason I have been conditioned that learning needs to take place while I read.

I like lots of movies, anything that grabs my attention. Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade. Back To The Future. Dirty Work.

The six things I could never do without

my family, my friends, my senses, music, fresh air, that feeling balanced somewhere between peace, fear, and excitement

I spend a lot of time thinking about

The things I've said/done. Where I am going with my life. What its like to lose one fo your senses.

On a typical Friday night I am

With my friends/family doing whatever the gods have willed.
Going to a show, then swimming in the Logan Circle fountain to cool off.
Having a barbecue with the previously mentioned.
Wandering aimlessly

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I fear losing my mind and being consious of it. I'm fine with being insane, as long as I am convinced I am fine. Watching myself slowly slip awa from who I was would kill me.

Two pieces of my body don't belong to me. One is my nose, the other is most of my tibia. I had a nose job when I was 4, not for cosmetic purposes.

You should message me if

You are interested in driving through a different state singing Taking Back Sunday's "Tell All Your Friends" at the top of your lungs.
