I am strong-willed, lively, and troubled.
My Self-Summary
Fire, light,
handicrafts, a pen, learning, black
pepper, wind, good food,
history and
tradition, the bear, the forest, red
wine, feminism, ambition,
culture...
I'm a history geek studying
folkloristics and other cultural
studies like
archaeology and museology in
university. I believe in people, equality and nature, and am
interested in old handicraft techniques, tradition, and ways of
living. I wear mostly black clothes, am listening to
metal music and finnish
rock, and like both calm and lazy evenings and hanging around in
the city.
What I’m doing with my life
Trying to study and work at the same time, listening to music,
hanging around with my boyfriend, friends and in
Viking Age living history happenings
and live action
roleplaying games.
I’m really good at
Stressing about things and trying to do too much at one time.
Making pretty good dishes of simple ingrendients.
The first things people usually notice about me
Speaking lively and a lot when in a good company. Wearing almost
always black and other dark-coloured clothes.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Books -
Tolkien: The Lord of the Rings,
Silmarillion and his other books; Ursula le Guin; Susanna Clarke;
Bulkakov's The Master and Margarita; not-so-common good science
fiction and fantasy (like le Guin, Scott Cards Alvin, Hobbs Farseer
Trilogy); Tsehov, Kafka, Don Rosas comics.
Movies - City of Lost Children, Totoro, Spirited Away, Ronja
Rovarsdottir, Pan's Labyrith, Amelie, Being John Malkovich. The
first Matrix was quite funny, The 5th Element is mostly really
cute. Deadwood was an interesting serie. I didn't like LOTR trilogy
so much - there was good and very bad parts in those films (I can
discuss about those for hours). And I also love very, _very_ bad
movies, like Turkish Star Wars (The Man who saved the World) or
Ator.
Music -
Dark Tranquillity,
Amorphis, Cantata Sangui,
Dream Theater, Fates Warning,
Samael, Moonspell, In Flames, SOAD,
Volbeat, CMX, Absoluuttinen Nollapiste, Kauko Röyhkä, etc.
Foods - too many to count. Lasagna, citrus-coconut sauces,
lamb dishes etc. A good beef is of course always good. I can't live
without black pepper,
black pepper saves the world.
The six things I could never do without
1) books and reading2) good music3) touch 4)
speaking and conversations 5) good food 6) trees
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Cultural things, music, my relationships and friends, good food,
handicrafts, things I haven't had time to do yet...
On a typical Friday night I am
Maybe at some of my friend's parties, watching a movie or sitting
in a bar and drinking beer, maybe just listening to music and
ircing at home, cooking, reading, petting my cat Faust, writing or
doing some handicrafts. There is absolutely no typical Friday night
for me.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
I do not just tell private things to random people around me.
You should message me if
you are an interesting person, or interested in living history or
re-enactmenting and you want to find a possible new friend.
