My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I am fun, smart, kind hearted, and I so don't feel my age. I have two young boys who are awesome. I have a wonderful family. I am someone who has a small group of very close friends, rather than a large number of acquaintances.

I think I'm pretty normal and down to earth. No drama, no more or less baggage than average. I can rock the little black dress (and love doing so) or jeans. I once made the change from work suit to black tie in 15 minutes. Fall is my favourite season because of the boots. When I'm 80, the pattern of my face will show a life of smiles and laughter.

When pressed for adjectives, my friends provided: real, lovely, warm. They're very smart.

I will point out that my profile is totally honest - no fibbing about my age or my size or anything else. I'm led to believe that's a rarity.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Trying, mostly successfully, to balance a demanding job and being a single mum half the week. Striving to see the bright side, always.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
In no particular order - puzzles, making beef bourgignon and butter tarts (but not at the same time), making my kids laugh, listening, kissing (but how does one really know?).
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Open and friendly smile, keen and intelligent mind showing through sparkling blue eyes.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Too many to list! Games of Thrones (books and tv), good tv dramas. Princess Bride. Books tend toward mysterys and thrillers - Ian Rankin, Michael Connolly, PD James, Elizabeth George. Music is all over the map, from jazz to top 40 to 80s pop/rock and more.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
the laughter of my children
dark chocolate
running, depending on the day
sadly, my Blackberry (although I try ...)

Why only 6? That's way too hard.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Often, strange random things. Today it's why an ad would say "now with better ingredients" - what was it made with before?
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Depending on the week, hanging with my boys and family, or enjoying the company of friends.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Then it wouldn't really be private, would it?

But some semi-private things: a man once assumed I drove a minivan. I haven't forgiven him. And I own a lot of underwear. A lot.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You like a real woman (not as in "real" housewife of wherever). You enjoy good company, good conversation. You like holding hands and making out. You're looking for more than one night.
