My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I am respectful, shy, a clown, and serious all in one. Finding the real self that got lost in 23 yrs of marriage. I was a chef for 27 yrs owned my own restaurant for five years, Personal chef for you is a Bonus! I quit a great job To return to school and finish my engineering degree, and care for my 85 yr old Father, I made him a promise many years ago I would never put him in a nursing home as long as I was physically able to care for him.

I do have a very strong faith in God... Just not involved with a specific religion, I find that sometimes the spiritual gets lost in the political... I find comfort in helping others less fortunate than I. I believe you can tell alot about a person in how they treat others... In other words Karma... I enjoy intelligent conversations... I enjoy silly conversations... I dream of a better world where chickens can cross roads without having their motives questioned... I evidently like to use three periods after every sentence I type... I also love holding hands... Gazing into beautiful eyes... and Deep Passionate Kisses... I hope to find one friend to spend time with... I want to get out of the house but hate going alone... I need someone to kick me in the butt sometimes.

UPDATE!! since I have been dating again I have dated a woman that wanted to marry me after 8 dates... sorry too soon... another that was so involved in her Adult children's lives (mid 20's) she had no time left for herself or me.
And yet another who was dating 6 guys from this site simultaneously... that was 5 too many...

So I took a break for a few years from dating to concentrate on myself. I came back last year dated a couple of women that it seemed we clicked, both plainly listed on their profile that they were seeking a "Relationship" .... turned out the only commitment they were seeking was Friends with Benefits (til they found someone to have a relationship with). Although one did say that she had to have someone that made more money than I did so he could buy her nice things.

I decided at the first of the year to try again. I did meet someone, same intent looking for a "Relationship" we seemed to have so much in common and dated for a couple of months.... the entire time she kept a profile and was looking every day for someone else. All of a sudden she tells me she let someone back in her life, from a previous relationship, that was abusive to her.

Am I too old fashioned (I cant believe I typed that) to believe that relationships should be monogamous, caring and supportive. I think it's cruel to someone that is actually looking for a relationship, that open's their heart when the other's heart is shuttered and unaccepting.

I believe you can't "Look" for a serious relationship I believe they just happen...

Music is very important to me! I enjoy most Genres, I play (well try anyway) Bluegrass and old Country... but but grew up listening to Rock. Now it can be anything ... Acoustic, Blues, Jazz, Folk... too many to list.

Books? Mostly Textbooks these days but like suspense and non fiction biographies for enjoyment.

Movies? I like everything from Action to Drama, Inspirational, to Chick Flicks... a few favorites are O Brother Where Art Thou, Forrest Gump, The Wizard of Oz, Tombstone. I will admit to loving "The Notebook " I long to feel love like that...

Dont watch much TV... the occasional home repair show... and yes I admit to watching The Walking Dead.

Food? I was a chef for 27 years... way too many to list but anything with seafood tops the list!
