My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
So I've been on here for ages but it's only recently that I've decided I need to actually make an effort to start dating again. Go easy on me. Like most of you I’m not particularly fond of writing about myself, yet if I’m ever going to convince any of you here that I’m worth meeting out there I guess I better come up with something witty and clever. So here are some random bits about me...

- Nine times out of ten the music in my head is far superior to anything on the radio (I should add I work with music, I’m not just a crazy person).
- While I can more than hold my own in the kitchen, cooking for one blows so I rarely do it and normally just go out instead.
- I’m not a runner. In fact, if you see me running, you should probably run too, because something really bad is chasing me.
- I've travelled quite a bit in the past, and intend to start again soon (so if you never want to leave town, we may not click)
- I am very much a night owl, but think the idea of wanting to wake up early to see someone is a wee bit romantic.
- While I have spent lots of time at cottages and on boats, I have never ever been camping. Seriously? Seriously.
- I would love to be one of those people who goes without a car, but as the economy has been tough lately I had to let Jeeves go and now I have to drive myself everywhere.
- I'm an animal person. My dog, at a very old age, passed away recently and at some point I'm going to need to have one again.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
A few years ago I made the decision to “re-tool” my life so I changed up my priorities and headed in a new direction. I sold my house in the ‘burbs and moved to a smaller space downtown (I’m in love with the idea of living in the most compact space I can fit in). I also sold off my business and started on a new one (well, technically I went back to a really old one – but that’s a long story told much better over drinks).
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Talking to people. Keeping up with what’s going on in the world. Eating cheeseburgers without remorse. Getting dogs and cats to like me. You know, all the important stuff.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My friends all claim I was a Muppet in a previous life. They might be right.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I love pretty much all movies, and I’ve almost completely stopped watching all television (the news and The Daily Show are the only things left in my regular viewing habits). As for music, anything upbeat with a good bass line is going to make me happy. And finally food – as long as it doesn’t contain pickles, olives or raisins we are good to go.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Vodka. Wait, that sounds bad. Change that. Cucumbers. Healthy, delicious cucumbers. And vodka. Crap! I did it again. ;-)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
(Insert evil laugh here) The day I take over the worl---- Oh crap, I’ve said too much...
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Out and about! Or at work. Or some combination of the two. (What a coincidence – work involves being out and about!)
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Seriously, I already spilled the beans on my plans for world domination – what more do you want from me?!?

...you have two eyes, a nose and a face! I don’t think I'm looking for anything unusual from people... a good conversation to get things started, a shared interest or two so we have something to do, and then go from there. I like people who are curious about the world and love to travel and explore. I'm also looking for someone who understands the importance of good silly fun.
