But enough about me. Let’s talk about you.
Obviously you have a sense of humor and you’re looking for a guy who can make you laugh. You want a regular guy with whom you can share your time, your thoughts, your feelings and maybe next New Year’s Eve. You’re not looking for the perfect man because you realize that perfection is not a human attribute. You realize that anyone who is single at this time in our lives probably has made a mistake or two (except perhaps widows and widowers). But as long as you’ve learned from them and don’t ruminate about them endlessly you’re probably all the wiser for having made them.
You may be looking for a romantic relationship but you value friendship and companionship too. You like to explore new places, learn new things and have new experiences and you’d like to have a great guy in your life with whom you can do all these things and more.
Perhaps your ideas of a good time are much the same as mine. A drive through the Hudson Valley in the fall to admire the beauty of the changing leaves, stopping at the occasional gallery or curio store and ending with dinner at a place we’ve never been before. Cuddling with a good movie on a cold winter’s night. Visiting the Jersey Shore on a spring weekend before the tourists come. Going to a summer barbecue or picnic and managing not to stuff ourselves.
If we’re on the same wavelength and you’re my age or younger then I’ve been hoping to meet you. I hope you’ve been looking to meet someone like me too.
I live in southern Westchester. If you do too or you live in the Riverdale section of the Bronx you win bonus points you can redeem for fabulous prizes!
If you don’t live in my neighborhood we could still be friends. My female friends are truer and more understanding than my male friends ever are.
If you’ve read this far what are you waiting for? Say hello already. Let’s make this year a great year together!
ACK! I can't believe they're retiring journals!!! It was THE feature that set OKC apart. Now this joint seems little different from PlentyOfFish and a million other sites. What a shame.
Journal entries were a great icebreaker. A number of women first wrote to me to tell me how much they enjoyed reading it. In fact, I didn't respond fast enough to one because I was preoccupied with family business and when I got around to replying to her it was too late. She had closed her account. Oh well. I learned a hard lesson the hard way.
Well here's one last YouTube Pick of the week: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SPlQpGeTbIE. It's a great pop tune I missed when it first came out.
