I chose the name Tommyisnormal because of the stereotype of online dating. That hopelessly damaged guy you know. I figured I'm pretty average so there ya go.
I'm just your normal guy I guess. I'm just looking for that "Ah-Ha" moment. That scene from the movie where the nerdy guy gets the girl.

This site does tend to make me feel F-ing old. Its seems Im in that unlucky middle stage where everyone my age is married. What are you gonna do right.

Lately I've been asking myself why the hell I'm on this website. Theres this stigma attached to meeting someone online. You know what I mean? Well I don't get out much. To be honest I'm so crippled with shyness I wouldn't be able to talk to any women on the street any way..

About me. Lets see lets see. I've worked as a: Dishwasher, busboy, burger punk (points for telling me what movie that came from), underwear sales man, shoe and clothing sales associate, graphic designer (mostly print), A/V Techincian and Roadie.

I've lived in Germany. I've been to Paris, Amsterdam, Belgium and Luxemburg. I've gone fishing in the Baltic Sea.

When I first started on this site I was looking for a relationship and then I realized its not one of those things you can make happen. That and i'm not sure I'm really ready for that at the moment. I hoping its one of those things where if I stop looking it will just happend. Right now I'm just looking for people the hang out with. I am looking to, chop wood, and carry water

This coming year I hope to spend more time outdoors: camping, fishing, learning to bowhunt, kayaking. I've been thinking about getting a motorcycle. Basically hitting a mid-life crisis early. If one of you guys see me in a convertable with a 19yo just put me out of my misery.

I'm not sure about this. Listening maybe. Talking. With the right person coversations flow like water. I wouldn't classify myself as really good at anything. I can say the things I like doing

I like or want to do one day:

Build my own furniture (Shaker style)
Rebuild a classic truck
fly-fishing
learn to sail
open my own paintball field
paint most of the pictures in my home
take most of the photos on my walls
write a book
break 100 in golf
Build a cabin in the middle of no where

I'm not sure. No ones ever really told me. The shape of my eyebrowns are unique and I have really long eyelashes.

I will read pretty much anything but romance and mysteries. I like fantasy, do it yourself books and outdoor writing.

Magazines: GQ, Esquire, Field and Stream, Men's Health, Mother Earth News, Outdoor Life and Fly Rod and Reel

Movies: I like movies that make you think and not mindless action. Any Kevin Smith movie or Ryan Reynolds movie. I'm a sucker for Comedies and "Chick Flicks". I love going to the movies. It's one of my favorite memories from childhood. I love the smell of popcorn and chocolate together. There's a drive-in still open back home that I love.

TV: Scrubs (Dr Cox is my Hero), Good Eats, How I Met your Mother, Dexter, True Blood, The Big Bang Theory, Couger Town, Sons of Anarchy, Football (Go Steelers), The History Channel, Food Network, Discovery Channel and the Travel Channel.

Music: anything but newer rap. I know alot of people say that but I really mean it. I do tend to gravitate to rock/punk/emo and screamo. I like to find the best of everything and make it my own. I love the Blues event though I never appreciated it till I started drinking and having women troubles. Oh yeah Im man enought to admit that I love BoyBand music. I find that it works real well while Im running. Gym music for me should do one of three things: 1. Make me want to break something. 2. Make me want to F@ck. or 3. Dance. If it can do all three thats even better. Heres just a small list:

The future I hope to make. I Day dream about having 40+ acres in the country. Its going to be a mix of open fields and hardwoods. I want there to be two ponds for my kids/grandkids filled with bluegill and bass. Where I can teach them to fly fish from the banks. I want tons of fruit trees and a garden. Oh and beekeeping for the trees, garden and my own honey would be cool as well.

I want my house to be crowded during the holidays. That warmth from the oven baking, kids running all over the place, standing outside watching a pig roast or a turkey fry surrounded by family and friends

I want to be able to stand on my porch at twilight and watch fireflys and the deer come out to graze.

Is all that really to much to ask for? (of course all of the above includes someone to share it with)

" I saw her standing there when I walked in the room. We locked eyes before I looked away. My mind flips throught the snap shots of all the possibilites. I will say this..she might say that...always the string of possiblilites that ends up at the same place. Before a word is spoken I've played out all the reasons I can't be with this stranger....why I'll never be enough for her.
Even after all this I want to chase her. To have her etch her memory across my back. Looking back and remembering the sweaty sting of her nails and the edges of her teeth digging into my skin. I'm not real sure what to put here. You should message me if you're bored and just want to BS, You need a date for a wedding ( I look for any reason to wear a tux), You would like to grab coffee, lunch or a movie with no strings attached.

Even thought I'm pretty clean cut I'm attracted to women with "Tattoo's and Issues" as my friends like to say. Basically if you look like Kat Von D I'm all for it.

Sometime I stop by just to check out what people write. There are a few people I stop by because their photos make me smile.....whoa in hind sight all that does sound a little crazy.
