I bike just about everywhere - and when I'm not biking, I use public transportation. I'm not making a statement against personal vehicles; it's just that at this point in my life, I've found it has been far less stressful since selling my car.
When I'm not biking I enjoy canoeing, hiking, local festivals, some cooking (when I have help), pub crawling, and the occasional live show.

I really wish there were more specific choices to complete "The Skinny" info on the right side of the profile... like, Body Type: Fit in spring and Ssummer, increased beer ponch in fall and winter... or Drinking: enough, or Drugs: hardly ever but never say never.

I'm riding out the recession like everyone else - taking comfort in my state job but trying not to get too comfortable with it; taking courses as time/money permits, sending out resumes and contemplating my next move if I am unable to land something better in the field of work I'm already in.

I recently saw Doubt and loved it. I'm a bit of a movie geek but I don't like movies for geeks (Star Wars, Star Trek, Harry Potter) - my fave directors are Scorcese, Kubrick, Coppola, and Apatow (to throw in a monkey wrench).
Books... Life of Pi, Candy Girl, Haroun and the Sea of Stories, Kite Runner...it's been quite a while since I've read anything beyond articles in the Isthmus - reading is a winter time activity for me.
Cafe Costa Rica, Pizza Brutta, Wasabi, Sophia's, and Weary Traveler are just a few of the restaurants I like in Madison.
