My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
This is the first dating site I've been on and I am just checking it out and getting used to it. I'm not looking for anything serious, but I wouldn't rule it out either. Just hoping to meet some fun young women.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Right now I have a decent full-time job but I don't see it as a career and so I am looking for something more. Currently working on writing projects and trying to figure out how to go back to school without giving up my position at work. I'm not planning on sticking around on the central coast forever, I've lived here for over 20 years now and depending on how school works out I could be gone as early as autumn. I have no formal higher education yet but I have to get it sooner than later.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Making people laugh, writing (spelling and grammar are specialties), drinking, reading, arguing, anything involving useless trivia type knowledge, picking up foreign languages, pissing off religious people and moral absolutists, being brutally honest, embarrassing myself on dance floors and in karaoke bars, games that involve accuracy (darts, archery, shooting), not stressing over things I can't control
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Probably that I look younger than I am
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books by Ernest Hemingway, James Joyce, Fitzgerald, Hunter S. Thompson, Voltaire, Thomas Paine, George Orwell, and books about history.
Hitchcock movies, Bruce Lee movies, documentaries, movies that are so bad that they are good
Music by James Brown, Etta James, Al Green, Aretha, the Roots, Anything with great drumming, Satie, DeBussy, Tom Waits all the time, old school Blues, Primus bass lines, Thelonius Monk, Rachmaninov, Johnny Cash, R.A.T.M., Motown, Rhymesayers, most (real) hip-hop and Metal for excercising.
Food from all over the world especially if it's spicy. Particularly Latin American and Asian food, the incredibly unhealthy but oh so delicious American South.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My books, geographical features (sorry West Texas, but you're not for me), women that are smart and beautiful, my notebook, my nephews and my smartphone
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Writing, politics, the future (mine and society in general), the women in my life, sex, being better than I was yesterday, making a career out of my brain
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Probably having a drink, meeting up with my best friends, trying to make people laugh.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You're not looking for marriage or kids right now, you like smart guys, you like brutal honesty, you consider yourself creative and smart and hopefully attractive. I'm not a shallow man, but let's be honest, physical attraction is important.
