I'm kind, funny, silly, curious about this world, curious about why we do the things we do, quirky, analytical, debatey, current event hungry, anxious, adventurous, mac savvy, type b, intellectual on superficial/silly topics, big hearted, small ego'd, a creator of things you can't hold. I'm jewish by heritage but an atheist at birth.

Editing reality tv shows. And somehow loving it. I do make bad television and like many other bright progressive people in my world, I don't watch any of it. I don't even have cable. For me, my work is not about the final product. It's about looking at the world in puzzle pieces, collaging words and glances and music and pauses to make a thing that wasn't there. It's a fun, mentally challenging creative gig that holds my focus fiercely.

The first thing you may notice is that I'm animated. But a lot of it will be nerves. My gesticulating subsides in the suds of my first beer, and if it doesn't, it might just mean I'm really taken by you.

Comedy, listening to it watch it, finding it absorbing it.
Ditto for music.
I like my films arty and edgy, but CGI can be an artform to itself.
No matter what, life is too short to see anything under 80% on Rotten Tomatoes.
I am a constant reader, but rarely of novels. I like news, tech, trends, politics and pop science/psych. Anything offering insight into ourselves.

Adventurous eater. Do not underestimate that statement.

I love live music, and wish more people in NYC danced when appreciating a good band. I was once partial to the jam band persuasion of rock but that has morphed into a folky soulful singer/songwriter kind of things where you can really hear the lyrics and feel a connection to the performance and if it makes me think of bare muddy feet or a camp fire crackle all the better

I put a lot of pressure on weekends.

You’re quirky, silly, observant, funny, openminded and maybe a little cynical. Have a spoonful of those traits, and I will cherish all the other idiosyncrasies that weave around them. You find reasonable joy in a conversation with a stranger and that joy is enhanced with a drink in your hand. When you have the freedom to roam a party you gracefully slide away have new encounters and equally gracefully, find me again. You’re comfortable enough with your liberal convictions and secure enough in mine that you can make/entertain an insensitive or crude observation that would really seem to defy them. Say it because it’s funny in the moment, in this context, coming out of your cute mouth and I’ll get it. I wont judge. You like to judge. But you would never say anything hurtful to someone’s face. You didn't emerge from a meticulous germ free bubble because I didnt either. Love or at least be very open to accepting New York (be it city or suburb) as your forever home. Prefer smaller quirkier character films to the ones with soaring soundtracks and happy endings because they’re much more fun to dissect over dinner. Prefer music that’s pretty to music that’s evil. Prefer hearing it live to electronic and we will have very compatible nightlives. And dance with me.
I hope by pontificating on the traits that strike me as important in this moment, I don’t come off as particularly demanding, because that would just be false advertising. I’m very interested in the things that make us different, I’m a chill, understanding pushover, and although I love being out around people, Im also awkward and at at times anxious and I will be comforted to find out you have some faults too :)
