I'm a pretty easy going guy. I like experiencing new things. I'll try anything at least twice. Open mindedness is pretty important to me.

Music is a big part of my life and I love to talk about it. I listen to a lot of different types and I pretty much like everything out there in some way. My taste changes from week to week. I don't like a lot of country, really the only exception. I play a few different instruments and used to perform but not so much anymore. I still play my bass a lot. So if you play an instrument that's definitely some brownie points!

Camping is my absolute passion. I love spending time outdoors any time of the year. Canoeing, hiking, portaging, swimming, whatever, I love being outside. I would definitely be looking for someone who can enjoy that with me too.

I'm honest, sometimes overly (I'm told at least). If you ask my opinion on something then expect an honest answer. I'm not very good at sugar coating.

I graduated from a post-graduate program in environmental engineering. I work for an environmental firm cleaning up other peoples messes. I love my job and have a strong passion for the environment.

Other than that I'm mostly visiting my family to spend time with my little niece who is the love of my life and exploring the city one block at a time.

I also have a knack for cooking. Probably all those years spent working in kitchens.

My sense of humour apparently. I'm not a very serious person unless I'm in a deep thought so I like to joke around a lot.

Carl Sagan, Christopher Hitchens, Michael Crichton, Isaac Asimov, George R.R. Martin, Aldous Huxley, JD Salinger, Tolstoy, and Lawrence Krauss to name just a few.

Favorite Bands:
The Tragically Hip, Muse, Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Beatles, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Led Zeppelin, Offspring, Radiohead, Pink Floyd, Adele, Florence+The Machine and so many more I couldn't name them all.

Favorite movies:
Pans Labyrinth, Serenity, anything by Tarantino, Snatch, Fight Club and The King's Speech. Honestly, I'm pretty picky with movies. I prefer books and television. I also love all those BBC series like Planet Earth and Life. David Attenborough is my homeboy.

Usually whatever interesting thing I've recently read about. I spend entirely too much time watching TED talks. My mind wonders all over the place really. Philosophy, science, and the environment to the NFL, TV shows and other garbage.

At a friends place or at home reading, maybe a poker night or trip to the pub. It varies a lot.

Well, you'll have to ask first...
