I am charming, witty, and badazzz.

My Self-Summary

Oy! Here goes nothing...
I'm funny, intelligent, charming, intuitive, sassy, sweet, entertaining, nerdy, as the Kinks say, "a dedicated follower of fashion" ;). Music is my passion and my love. I have a full time job in the music industry (believe it or not). I DJ around town at some great clubs/bars/galleries, etc. I also have a fondness of going out and trying new places to eat and drink. I spend way too much time online searching for music. I don't mind staying in and watching movies or catching up on TV, although I do fancy a night out on the town ever so often. The Clash is my favorite band and I had the great opportunity of meeting Joe Strummer, my hero. I even have the signed 'Black Market Clash' 10" to prove it! Hmm if you want to know more, I guess you'll have to ask...

What I’m doing with my life

Working in the music biz by day. On my free time I look for cool new bands along with discovering amazing old ones- online or live. I also DJ usually once a week, sometimes twice if it's a good week.
I try and travel as much as my time and finances allow, I love taking weekend trips, whether it's just hopping in the car and driving north, south, east and sometimes west (stupid ocean kinda limits how far west I can drive though)haha
I have many goals & aspirations, which I am working on daily to try and accomplish.

I’m really good at

Being honest. Playing name that tune.

Putting songs to everyday answers like... what am I really good at:
"Dancing with Myself" - Generation X/Billy Idol
"Look Back and Laugh" - Minor Threat
"The Clown" - Charles Mingus
"Listening Man" - The Bees
"Kissing My Love" - Afrique

The first things people usually notice about me

My smile and my eyes.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Books: How about favorite authors - Bukowski, Tolstoy, Easton Ellis, Sedaris, Dr. Suess, Dahl, Legs McNeil, and more...

Movies: Valley Girl, Goodfellas, Fast Times At Ridgemont High, I Love You Man, the original Star Wars trilogy, Blade Runner, Vertigo, Annie Hall, The Graduate, Silence Of The Lambs (dont ask me to do my Buffalo Bill impersonation), Robocop, A Bronx Tale, Taxi Driver, Warriors and just about anything that features NYC or Brooklyn.

Music: I really, truly love many different kinds of music. My all-time favorites - The Clash, The Smiths, The Beatles, Rolling Stones, TV On The Radio, Radiohead, Velvet Underground, Wu-Tang Clan, James Brown, Charles Mingus, John Coltrane, Kings of Convenience, Joy Division/New Order, Duran Duran, Tears For Fears, INXS, Roxy Music, Bad Brains, The Kinks, Can, Kraftwerk, Depeche Mode, Fugazi, The Cure, Phoenix, The Temptations/Motown, Girl Groups and the whole Spector "Wall of Sound", The Walkmen, Make-Up (and all things Ian Svenonius), Old Ska/Dub/Rocksteady/Reggae and Two-Tone, The Muslims aka The Soft Pack, Gil Scott-Heron, Steely Dan, Talking Heads, Italo Disco like Giorgio Moroder, Gino Soccio...Stuff I'm currently digging on: Woolfy, The XX, Do Make Say Think, Mayer Hawthorne, No Age, The Clean (oldie but a goodie), Memory Tapes, Atlas Sound, Sh*t Robot, The Juan Maclean, Matthew Dear, Washed Out, Local Natives, White Rabbits, and so much more!
Maybe I'll make you a wicked mixtape.

Food: Yes please! I love pretty much all types, really. Italian, Mexican, Argentine, Brazilian, Thai, Indian, Japanese, Moroccan, Russian, Korean... if it's on a plate... I'll eat it. I'm pretty adventurous that way.

The six things I could never do without

I don't know if I'd classify my friends, family and cat as "things" so I'll just go with the obvious:
- Laptop (sad I know)
- Burt's Bees Lip stuff
- LPs/music
- My hats
- Red Vines
- Vitamins (I learned this the hard way)

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Besides, the obvious... LIFE... I'd say:
What song I'm going to play next. What's going on in Brooklyn. Where I want to visit next. Why is that person staring at me so weirdly? What? Am I the first person you've seen dancing and singing aloud in a car? ;)

On a typical Friday night I am

Ooot and aboot. Or home resting up for Saturday!

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I'm lactose intolerant and it sucks. :(

You should message me if

Your the kind of girl who appreciates someone who will make you laugh by using my cunning wit and intelligence. A girl that appreciates a man who believes that chivalry is not dead but in fact alive and kicking. I'm extremely loyal and honest. I've been told that I'm quite the catch.
