UPDATE AS OF 04/15/14: Started my new job as a web developer.

Can i say how awesome this site is? The people you meet and talk to are so... diverse and interesting.

WORTH SHARING: A liberal progressive women writing about why online dating on (OKC) sucks for men http://www.alternet.org/why-online-dating-sucks-men Needed to share.

Edit: I feel if someone is going to be on this site they should try to interact with its members. Message me, it's fine really. I respond to everyone, because it only makes sense. Plus I hate trolls.

I guess the most important thing would be to tell that I have just gotten back from a 13 month trip across Europe. From London to Istanbul in late March of 2012.

Lets see. The next thing. I am starting a business. This means spending a lots of time on the computer, learning, designing, writing and honing my craft.

Becoming a travel writer and web designer takes patience and time thou I'm fairly steadfast in the pursuit. I take it rather seriously with the aim to have an online, location independent business. I'm far enough along in the process, yet seemingly not far enough.

To say I don't love what I do would be a lie, I do.

Travel is something I am passionate about.

Next...I am from Long Island. Is that important?

I write about my travels here.

If you are looking for drama, please move along. This is not to say I seek only the vanilla for I love all the flavors of life. If you read the rest of my profile you will also note that I am not too timid a soul. Simply put I don't want to deal with shit talking, drama types who look for conflict and use it to fuel their world. Trust me when I say there is so much in this world to fuel your passions.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Most of the time is spent coding, designing or occupying my computer. See above section.

I can be political, though recent years have tempered my outward zest, so to speak.

Traveling when I can. Now settled in the Capital Region with a new job and continuing to build on my own business.

Having scored a pretty sweet job day job that I like quite a bit, the Eyes of Mordor now turn to the Capital Region and my life planted here in Albany for awhile.

With that changes must follow. My second life is a where things get interesting. I am a blogger of the travel variety. This has been a rather fascinating trip and one that has opened some doors and given me great experiences. The trip only seems to get better and I feel I have hardly scratched the surface.

I am only coming to the realization that as a blogger one must embrace a more open life, a life open rather publicly at times. For a person that continuously scores an INTP on the Meyers-Briggs personality indicator test this has been challenging.

Starting anew in the capital region during the beginning of the May 2014 has been rather fortuitous and I am looking forward to a exciting year. My plans as they seem to be unfolding will involve a great deal of travel in the the Hudson Valley and beyond to the rest of the Northeast.

In addition to that I look to expand into teaching and promoting open source tech and blogging in the area. I hate public speaking.

This should be a rather fulfilling year and I look to all that it holds.

Also while in Istanbul I learned massage therapy that I practice on the side.

Ok that other line, kind of complete lie. I learned it from an Filipino women while staying in the Netherlands.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I am good at math, science and technical things. I'm bad with proper nouns. I like pool and running. I've started to get back into running with the hope of getting into some marathons (we'll see).

*If you run or would like too and live around here get in touch. I need a running partner.

Curiously, I've been told I'm a muse. At least it's a positive if not lucrative trait.

Not fixing my own back problems. Ohh yes. I am good at telling with great detail about any place I have traveled. Obliviously without names (nouns no good).

Also. Talking. I can talk too much about things, when I'm passionate about them. Otherwise fairly quiet.

I can pick up the basics of a language quickly. I'm not the best, but surely not the worst.

Cars. Maybe, this might be surprising for someone who spends most of their time coding? Maybe not. I rebuilt most of a transmission casing and assembly for a 200*? Saturn along with the top of the engine block sans mechanic.

I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Stature? Eyes? Not sure.

After that...wait I guess we are getting into third or fourth here. Never mind.

Blue Sholars (Seattle), Danien Dempsey (Ireland)

Too much really to tell or to hear. Maybe later.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Honestly.

Computer
Music
Best friends
Travel (Couchsurfing here is my profile)
Understanding
New experiences.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
...the inner meanings of my soul. Come on now. What does that mean.

Honestly I think about politics, media queries, social media, Drupal, responsive design, Eurovison ( I love you Jedward).

The other half thinks about pension funds, Colbert Rebort and music?
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
If I am traveling it could be most anything (probably Couch Surfing). Although on a given night I am as likely to be trying to study up on web design or Drupal as I would be to see a live band at a bar.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
How many people pause on this section?

I fell in love with Istanbul.

I do not fear new things, including relationships. Although I usually tread lightly. I cautiously experience the world.
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
....you reach this point and are interested. Maybe if you seek a friend. If you love travel. If you crave experience new things (don't we all, sigh).

But most definitely if you hear Sublime, Santeria and feel what you really want to say.

You made it this far in life and realize its a serious and funny ride.

If you are going to message me, I will reply. My response frequency on here must say abso-fuckin-defi-lutely. It's just good karma and everyone has something to offer and say.

Thou if you do, please respond. I get many messages, respond to all and surprisingly get few responses after someone takes that initial plunge.

Texting is preferable and I'll freely (usually) give out my number.
