I'm a pretty laid back guy but I'm also a hard worker and goal-oriented... those things may seem like they're mutually exclusive, but I don't believe that they are. I LOVE to travel; I travel frequently and have been fortunate enough to go all over the world. I have moved around a lot in the past, but it looks like I will be in the area for the next few years at least. I'm into anything associated with the outdoors, travel, or fitness- photography, writing, surfing, all kinds of sports, etc. But I definitely enjoy some nice quiet nights at home too. Ultimately I would like to be in a relationship, but for now, I'm not looking for anything specific. I'd just love to meet some people and see where things go.

I am an Army officer (no, not your typical Army guy!) And I recently moved to North Carolina. I will be here for several years, and I'm currently in training while I work on my second master's degree. Not exactly sure what the long-term future holds, but it will definitely be something unique and exciting.

Favorite book is Shantaram- definitely a must-read for anyone interested in travel, adventure, or making major changes in their life! Noteworthy mentions are: Freakanomics, the Picture of Dorian Gray, the Killer Angels, Three Cups of Tea, Calvin and Hobbes, anything by Thomas Barnett, Thomas Friedman, Fareed Zakaria, and many more. I mostly watch news and sports on tv, but have a definite love for the Daily Show, Colbert Report, and a few other random shows like the Amazing Race. I listen to almost all types of music out there and love to discover new bands I haven't heard before. My iPod has a pretty random assortment on it, everything from Johnny Cash to DeadMau5 to Zac Brown to Nirvana. I LOVE food, so it would be criminal to pick a single favorite, but Thai, sushi, and Mediterranean are all in the running.
