My self-summary
I've always been deeply committed to understanding and improving myself. I even traveled around the world for a year to better understand what I care about and what I want to cultivate in my life. I came away from that experience with a greater appreciation for how pivotal relationships with others are to my own happiness, and since then I've made it a priority above all else to find and build strong friendships with those around me.

I've been told that I'm a good listener, and it's something I take a lot of pride in. For me, deep conversations-- whether over coffee, on a run, or on a couch at a house party-- are some of the most fulfilling kinds of interactions. I even thought of becoming a therapist at one point because of how much I enjoy those experiences.

I don't tend to spend much time in bars; I would much rather spend an evening hanging out with friends or even just going to the gym, and I'm definitely looking for someone on a similar wavelength. I tend to be drawn to deep-thinking, curious, and playful sorts of people.

In terms of Myers-Briggs, I'm definitely an INFJ, although I get along really well with just about everyone I meet, which I attribute to that 'Midwest niceness' us Wisconsinites are born with. Regardless, the first time I read this description of INFJs I was shocked by how accurate dead-on it was, so if you're interested, it gives a pretty powerful description of what I think makes me tick:

Anyway, feel free to say hi. :)
What I’m doing with my life
Playing ultimate frisbee, running with friends, rock climbing, soccer, darts, coffee/dinner with friends. Basically if it involves people, throwing things, or throwing things at people then I'm probably game.
I’m really good at
-Cracking eggs one-handed
-Parking and orienteering
-Calculating tips / mental math
-Wiggling my ears and eyebrows (be jealous)
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Movies: My movie knowledge is horrible.

Music: Simon and Garfunkel, The Decemberists, Okkervil River, Death Cab for Cutie, Motion City Soundtrack, Lucky Boys Confusion, Die Toten Hosen, Collective Soul, Bowling For Soup, Blink 182, Andrew Lloyd Webber, All-American Rejects

Food: I'll eat just about anything so long as it's not greasy or super sweet.
The six things I could never do without
Head, shoulders, knees, and toes... knees and toes.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Body language. Social behavior. Life direction. Also silly things like how adorable Grumpy Cat is.
On a typical Friday night I am
Honestly? Going to the gym, then maybe dinner with a friend or a phone call to catch up with my family or sister. What can I say? I'm a wild guy.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I was relatively nerdy in high school, even though I played two sports. Years later, I still love learning new things, the wonders of science, and can easily spend an evening discussing the psychology of identity or watching a documentary on basically anything.
