My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm an out-of-towner who came to Montreal for university and decided to stick around after the music stopped. I've got a thing for politics, philosophy, and the oxford comma.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Working as a communications manager at a tech company by day, drinking wine and riding my bike around the ville by night. Ambition and restlessness will probably take me out of Montreal at some point in the future, so I'm making the most of it while I'm here.

I spend my weekends trying to overthrow capitalism.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Photography, finding good restaurants, people watching, and creating things for my friends to do on a Friday night.

I also mix a mean tequila sunrise.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My height, my slightly-too-cocky grin, and my talent for dissimulation.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
I read a great deal, so sometimes it's hard to remember all the favorites. The Kindly Ones, Sacred Hunger, Trainspotting, The Magicians, Wolf Hall, American Psycho, The Forever War. Anything by H.P Lovecraft. Most of Ian Banks.

As for films: The Lives of Others, The Crucible, Alien, Sphere, Nightcrawler, Trainspotting, Lost Highway.

Shows: Game of Thrones, Adventure Time, True Detective, House of Cards... and the occasional dose of 1980s Sherlock.

Music: I listen to Norse ambient and terrible bubblegum pop.

Food: Indian, and anything else spicy. Sho-Dan. O Noir is my favorite restaurant, probably because I enjoy surprising people with dining in the dark. I think they call that schadenfreude.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. Bandwidth
2. My medieval wine goblet
3. Steam sales
4. The Death of Marat
5. Paris Commune (1871 version)
6. Schrodinger's Cat
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Hegemonic power structures and what to eat for dinner.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Having a drink at some hole in the wall or leading random strangers up the mountain.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
When bored, I sometimes write erotic fiction starring the people around me...

...and publish it anonymously online.

You're smart, you're worldly, and you look after yourself. You think Briggs-Meyer is astrology for business types. Bonus points if you've ever slain a dragon.

I like women who can kill their own spiders.
