My self-summary
Hi! Four and a half years ago, I moved from Brooklyn to Philly to go to grad school and wound up staying. I think this city has a lot to offer, and I want to explore it more. I am a big ole extravert (an ENFP for all you Myers Briggs fans), and I find people freaking fascinating. I love a good laugh with good friends. I can absolutely get down with a dive bar, or get down at a dance bar, and I watch more trashy TV than I would like to admit. I'm the type of person that you might expect listens to NPR...except, I don't really. I like pictures too much :) I'm a little bit quirky and some people have said I remind them of (a tamer) Sarah Silverman...I think I'm okay with that.
What I’m doing with my life
Professionally, I work in student life (I hangout with college students and play Wii).

In life, I am looking for happiness, fun, excitement, travel and a partner who can keep up with me!
I’m really good at
hmm. being humble?

I am good at trivia (not great), filling awkward silences, talking, listening, laughing, making people laugh, ski ball, flip cup, and booking cheap flights. *New skill, turns out, I'm not terrible at bocce. I wouldn't say I'm good, but for someone who is just embarrassingly bad at sports, this new found bocce mediocrity is super exciting!
The first things people usually notice about me
I am a smiley person. I am usually way too friendly when I meet people because I feel the burden to make everyone feel comfortable. It's the counselor in me. I also have long crazy wavy/curly hair.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: The Giver, The World According to Garp, Alice in Wonderland, Are you there God it's Me, Margaret.

Movies: Annie Hall, Spinal Tap, Dazed and Confused, Wet Hot American Summer, Toy Story, Best in Show, A Fish Called Wanda.

TV: Breaking Bad, The Office, Sherlock, New Girl, Dexter (except that last season. yikes), Downton Abbey

Music: Creedence, The Beatles, Lady Gaga, Bruce Springsteen, The Kinks, Dolly, Elvis, The Decemberists, The Hold Steady, Eminem.
The six things I could never do without
Family and Friends.

Now the rest: Chocolate chip cookies, my heated blanket (currently), seltzer, The Office (seasons 1-4), summer, chinese food, NYC at X-mas...OH and Anthony Bourdain...I love all things Bourdain.

Thats more than 6. Oops.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
My friends, my family, the unknown, my students, tv shows that I am overly invested in (currently Sherlock), my future partner, life.
On a typical Friday night I am
Hitting the town with friends, maybe a drink at BAR or that new awesome pop up beer garden.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I have had braces twice. Perpetual awkward stage.
I’m looking for
  • Guys who like girls
  • Ages 27–35
  • Near me
  • Who are single
  • For new friends, long-term dating, short-term dating
You should message me if
I'm looking for someone who does not take themselves too seriously, has a zest for life, a great sense of humor, likes to travel, loves the outdoors or (like me) wants to and tries really hard to love the outdoors, is liberal but hates those people that walk around trying to out-liberal each other for the sake of being the most liberally. Is down to earth, and, most importantly, wants a friend and an equal partner in a relationship.
