I don't take life very seriously at all, but I love to have deep conversations about it. I often joke, but I never lie. I am very polite, but I say rude things. I am reserved, but very open. Is any of this making sense?

I like to think that I'm understanding, caring, loyal and honest, but I don't expect you to take my word for any of that. My sense of humour is at times dry, obscure, surreal, or risqué, depending on the mood. I like quiet nights in with good food, laughter and varied conversation. I don't like consumerism, cute sentimentality, or lad culture.

I'd like to meet someone for dating, possibly leading on to something more serious, but I have to say I'm sceptical of the romantic ideal of undying love, so I don't have any great expectations in that regard. Your age, race, history and current circumstances are not important to me - I accept people for who they are. All I ask is that you be yourself - I'm not interested in dating a bubbly facade. On the flip side - if you like macho posers then you won't be very impressed by me.

I've just got a new job in London, so I'm re-arranging my life and living in the now.

Being silly, being serious, cooking, giving massages, understanding women, climbing trees, and fixing the space shuttle.

I look young, and I'm also quite thin. This is not a particularly flattering look for a fully grown man, but on the plus side if I ever have any daughters they could end up as supermodels. Not that I would encourage that, of course, because modelling is a silly superficial profession.

You know those films that employ cheap tricks to make the audience feel emotional, like playing rising chords during the hero's noble sacrifice? I hate those. Mainly because they work on me. Every. Single. Time.

You see, in day to day life I'm almost supernaturally calm and reasonable, hardly ever getting worked up about anything. But... oh dammit, I'm tearing up right now just thinking about the ending to Lord Of The Rings. For God's sake, get a grip!

You'd better not tell anyone about this.

You would like to meet someone easy to talk to, who may just turn out to be the love of your life.
