I’m fairly lefty-leaning, I like learning about people and trying new things. My favourite method of trying new things is travelling. I love to travel; my favourite destination is New York City so far.
My hobbies include reading, writing, performing, music, rec league soccer, cooking, movies, the NBA, (mostly comedy) TV shows, socializing with friends, and sometimes video games. My preferences tend to lean toward the “indie” but I don’t let that stop me from enjoying something popular if I like it. When I go out, I’m more likely headed to a restaurant, pub, or show of some type than a club.
I’m a comedy nerd. I love stand-up, sketch, improv, all formats of comedy. There are a lot of humour books on my shelf and podcasts in my phone. I have some fairly strong opinions on comedy; let’s just you're unlikely to find me watching “Two and a Half Men” or “Big Bang Theory”. Winnipeg has a healthy comedy scene with a variety of live shows and they can be a lot of fun to attend.
As a guy who loves to read and write, language is important to me. No offense intended, but I find poor spelling and grammar to be a turn-off. For any fellow grammar semi-weirdo, my pet peeve is the misuse of “less” vs. “fewer”.
I’m happy about what my life and future hold. I’m looking for someone to share it with, someone to learn and have new experiences with, someone I can converse with, someone who I just plain enjoy being near.
So if you think it could be you, please write me a message longer than “hey” or “what’s up”.
