Suppose a user account mysteriously vanishes...?

Nov 13, 2006

Suppose a user account mysteriously vanishes but this person has told you where he/she works so you decide to show up there and find this person. Is that creepy?
  • Yes
  • No

The question as presented does not really give enough detail to provide a solid answer.

Examples:

If the user was someone that I had been messaging/emailing for a while and then suddenly disappeared I would definitely go to their work (if that was the only way i could get a hold of them) to find out if they were okay or not. On the reverse, under the same circumstances, I wouldn't be freaked out at all if they showed up at work - why else would I have told them where I work other than for them to go there?

If the user account someone that I had messaged (or messaged me) once or twice, no, I wouldn't go to their work; yet I don't think I'd be creeped out too much if they showed up at my work, it would depend on what their intentions were.

So, all in all, I really think there needs to be a "depends" option...everyone's circumstances could be different.
