I liked/ like to be the best at everything (and thought that my duty, too, a pleasant one, considering I owe that to God, my family, and all those around me). Thus while concentrating on being the best daughter, the best sister, the best friend, the best student, the best professor, the best dean, the best manager, the best director, the best painter, the best writer, etc., there was not enough left for me to be also the best ever fiancée, wife, etc.…till now.
So, I have now reached the point in my life when I have achieved much, career-wise, when I have a satisfying ascending profession, solid academic and administrative positions as well as a very good social position, much honouring responsibility as univ. vice-president/vice-rector, adj. director of Institute of Modern Languages (as well as Associate Professor of English, Communication and Creative Writing) and also enough room and opportunity for my charity and creativity as a member in different boards dealing with cultural events, with artistic life. I have always been involved in civic activities since I think it is very important to give back to the community. “Giving, kind, generous, caring” is how people in my life most often briefly describe me.
I am generous, loving and I do care...about everything and everybody….I care about people—all people in my life, all beings on earth, too, about animals, about the environment…about doing good, helping others, doing what is right…I am kind, patient, and tolerant and understand that there's a time to give and be loving and understanding—there’s always that time, a blessed season of giving. I also believe in standing up for what I believe in, with gentleness yet firmness. I have principles yet I am not stubborn. I believe in relaxed, friendly dialogue, in open discussions (with an open mind, sense of humor and acceptance) and I believe in solving everything with calm, without blaming, without reproaches—and bringing back the past, and without criticism. I think that strong, true friendship, real understanding, patience, deep respect and total trust need to be at the basis of any relationship, love and marriage included.
I am reliable and always there for my family, friends and loved ones. I don't run from adversity. I care what people think of me because I believe in being the best person I can be. I want people who come across me to think "hey, what a cool/ nice/ generous/ gentle woman". It's not about attention for me. It's about respect for those around. It’s about giving back. It’s about “making a life.” A meaningful, unselfish one.
I am very well mannered, polite, considerate, and graceful. I am gentle, and like a serene, peaceful environment and relationships like fire regarding the chemistry of body, soul, spirit, and heart connection, yet calming and fulfilling like rain. My house is always an oasis of peace, tranquility, and harmony, a warm and protective place.
I have high-maintenance looks yet a down-to-earth attitude, values, and personality. I am elegant, very feminine and sensual, sophisticated, and affectionate and I expect the perfect match, the One to also dress well, be a connoisseur of fine food and drinks, etc., be sophisticated, sensitive, caring, and especially 100% reliable, faithful and dependable.
CHAPTER II: Wanted By Many, Taken By None, Looking At Some, Waiting For One
Motto: “The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page.” (St. Augustine)
I like adventure, travel, and am adventurous and inquisitive. I’d try everything once—except drugs and cigarettes—and my match, the One, has to also love traveling a lot and afford going everywhere in the world at any given moment. Travelling is indeed very important to me thus it has to hold true for the One, as well.
I guess my life is kind of like an episode of the Muppet Show and I would be Gonzo: always on a new quest, pushing my imagination to the limits, and occasionally walking into things.
Martin Buber said that “all journeys have secret destinations of which the traveler is unaware.” I would like to find the One who is willing to enjoy life to its fullest together with me, travelling with me all over the world, being open to new cultures, new points of view.
Note: I speak a few languages and have degrees and awards in different fields, held a variety of jobs, studied and worked in different countries.
SUMMARY: There is much, way much more about me--all good, I promise—yet things should fold and unfold slowly, some mystery should be preserved, things should be discovered, all paths taken not fenced, so please read carefully and attentively, and if you qualify, then please write me…And come aboard: For an exciting life full of love, meaning, sharing, adventure, learning and peace.
I also love to travel all around the world and can afford doing so and I would like to be with someone who shares the same types of pleasures in life. Education, sophistication, understanding, friendship, politeness are crucial. The One should have energy, enthusiasm and desire to be with me, travel with me, enjoy life with me.
FINAL SUMMARY: So far I have chosen to concentrate on my family, my education, my career/ profession, my financial and social status, my friends, my colleagues, my students, yet now and from now on I would like to focus on my own family life, my love life, sharing my life with the significant One, on spending quality time with the One that is meant for me, building together a healthy, fulfilling, happy and rewarding to both of us relationship.
