Here's a few things you'd might like to know about me...

-I don't give my word lightly.
-I've ridden a motorcycle up and down the east coast.
-I've lived in four countries outside the US.
-I have NEVER broken a promise I made to a child.
-I love dogs, and the feeling is generally mutual.
-Once I ate a snake, because I hadn't eaten in three days and it was the best thing I could catch.
-If I could only order one drink at a bar it would be wine, but to be honest I have never only ordered one drink at a bar.
-I have swum across the San Francisco Bay from Alcatraz.
-I've been bloodied in combat, and was more than happy to return the favor.

Former military type... Work for a bank now.

Some things... Other things, not so good

My friendly grin... Then they notice they can't tell where I'm from

book- anything by Tom Robbins, or Hemingway, or Vonnegut... or Heinlein, or Orson Card... but Dostoevsky makes me sleepy.

movie- 'Every Which Way But Loose' It's the pinnacle of the late 70's truck driver/orangutan buddy film genre.

show- Netflix. Don't think that qualifies as a show, but I watch it a lot.

music- I like it.

food- anything that doesn't try to bite me back, except that snake I mentioned earlier.

The ONE thing I could NEVER do without is lists...
Lists of movies, lists of books, lists of food, lists of bands, lists of stuff that make life worth living... I don't want to live in a world without lists.

Sometimes, I think about second derivative effects on multivariate functions... like, math and stuff...

Then I wonder... Can you say balm on an airplane?

And, everyone once in a while I ask myself, isn't a rhinoceros just a chubby unicorn?

Hitting happy hour, heading out on a road trip, resting up for a race, catching some live music, tying one on till the sun comes up... you know, the usual stuff.

I'm not an ambi-turner.

(Women always seem to offer 'points' for recognizing stuff. I don't know if this is gender-specific, but I'll give you 'dude points' if you get the reference.)
