I am fundamentally a life-lover and a truth-seeker. I love thinking about all kinds of things all the time. I'm mostly an Objectivist.

My main goal is to live forever. Life is lots of fun! I attempt to be systematically rational.

I have a strong respect for your rights, and expect the same in return. I'm a theorist at heart, and my attempts aim toward understanding the behavior of all systems.

I just got hired by the Singularity Institute. My goal is to help create (safe) Artificial General Intelligence (AGI). I absolutely want a family, but certainly not soon. For several years I've been studying a philosophy called Objectivism. It has led me to many truths and many joys. I am signed up for cryonics so that in case I die before the Singularity, I might be reanimated.

I'm really good at discerning truth. This typically expresses itself in having philosophical or scientific discussions that feel amazing. I'm also really good at math. It just seems like my brain is built to love it.

Also I'm really good at typing, drinking milk, solving Rubik's cubes, and getting really excited about dorky things.

If you start talking to me, you'll probably notice quickly that I care about what's true, that I'm passionate about truth and life.

My top two books are Atlas Shrugged and Harry Potter and the Methods of Rationality (HPMoR). Textbooks and technical articles are usually my reading of choice. I like movies that make me think. Firefly is the best show that I am aware of. Edit: I am currently addicted to The West Wing and I think it might be better. My current Pandora station is called Electro-pop. Some artists I like are are MC Frontalot, Daft Punk, Chopin, Billy Joel, Justice, The Sounds, Ratata, AC/DC and Hans Zimmer. And as for food, I'm a bit weird. But I really like chocolate. I am a hummingbird who lives off sucrose.

Actually I guess I could do without parentheses. Prefix notation makes me swoon a little bit.

Lojban, etymology, Maxwell's Equations, what has been earned, why I think things are beautiful, how amazing is Capitalism, heros of the past, linguistics . . .
